NUM TIME COMMENT
1 01:25 Ladbrokes Big Bets Maiden Plate 1500m
Couldthisbetheone and Saker Falcon will settle forward and can set a moderate tempo. AMAZAKE (6) did enough first up at Geelong over 1425m when blowing the cobwebs out, working home to the line to grab sixth in a decent effort. He showed good ability in two runs in his debut campaign, starting $4.20 in a Listed race at Flemington second up last time in. Looks a staying type who should appreciate this trip and will just need a good ride from the draw. COULDTHISBETHEONE (8) is knocking on the door, placing in his past two, working home well at Mornington last time out to grab third. He sets up nicely from the low gate and should take some beating. MATSUDA (10) tackled the Derby Preview at Flemington last time out and wasn't disgraced when beaten five lengths into eighth. The run prior at Sandown Hillside reads very well for this and he can bounce right back. CHAGFORD (7) is a Frankel colt on debut for the Hayes yard who has to be respected for strong connections. FABULOUS FIANO (9) could give a sight.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Amazake to win.
2 02:00 Lincoln Lifestyle Huntly Maiden Plate 1000m
Plenty of pace evident with Armagh and Hegely leading the way from Above Me and Redemption Time. ARMAGH (7) sets up well here off an encouraging debut at Ballarat over this trip, tracking the pace and working home well for a narrow fourth. He should be better for that experience and looks suited staying at 1000m with another soft draw. This looks a nice race for him. ALGADON STORM (10) resumes having been in the market in a rich race on debut here, not all that far away when seventh behind Killiana. Expecting her to have come on from that and be an improver this time around. HEGELY (11) resumes. The debut run at Ballarat was good, finding the line from midfield for a narrow third. She's been tuned up at the jump outs and should take beating with natural improvement. TRUE SERENITY (12) is a filly by Extreme Choice in the Yulong colours for the Price & Kent Jnr yard. She's jumped out fairly well and should be respected. BOYD (8) stuck on well on debut and is in the mix.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Armagh on top.
3 02:35 Bendigo Mazda 3YO BM64 Handicap 1100m
Expecting More Highs On Me to take up the lead at a genuine tempo. STREET ARTIST (2) is off a let up here having avoided the temptation of black type company and looks very well placed to score again here. He was having his first start as a gelding when last seen at Mornington and was dominant winning by five lengths in fast time. This is a handy BM64 but he'll be short in betting and a likely winner. TEINE AULELEI (4) resumes. She won in good time on debut here before a strong close to grab third behind a smart one at Caulfield. She's got ability and any improvement has her firmly in the mix. LOFTY THOUGHTS (1) resumes. He only had the one run last time in, winning narrowly at Ballarat Synthetic. Prior to that he'd been tested in some strong 2yo races and looked talented. Can run well. PURE PASSION (3) was far too good at Kilmore breaking her maiden last time and has race fitness on her side. SERINDA (7) next best off a solid maiden win fresh.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Street Artist to win.
4 03:10 DeAraugo and Lea Electrical 4YO+ Maiden Plate 1300m
Expecting a genuine tempo with She's Elusive setting the tone from an outside draw, joined by Dela Bella. SETHEUS (9) is off a let up here having looked close to a maiden win last time in, placing in his past two starts. He's awfully consistent and the booking of Damian Lane is a key one. He'll need a good ride but can get the job done. PONTE ARCOBALENO (8) is another knocking on the door, just finding one better at all three runs this time in. He found the line well at Swan Hill last time and the extra 100m should be suitable for the son of Castelvecchio. TANANA (13) resumed with a sound run at Ballarat when third, albeit beaten seven lengths by an impressive winner, who has since won again in town. That form should hold up and she'll strip fitter with improvement to come. BLACKHILL BOY (3) has been solid in two runs to date and will be better for them with a soft run from the inside. AL PRANCER (2) resumes and can be strong late.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Leaning to Setheus.
5 03:45 Bendigo Skin Clinic 3YO Maiden Plate 1300m
Good early pressure anticipated with a large number of unraced runners. KIRKSVILLE (6) made nice ground from midfield on debut here over 1100m, getting into third late when beaten under a length. He looked in need of more ground there and gets it here with the extra furlong, tipping he'll be hard to hold out. CASUAL GHAI (2) did enough first up at Mornington in a slowly run race, covering ground there in a solid effort. He'll be fitter for that and did take on some handy races last time in. REGAL GENT (16) has been good in two runs to date, tackling a metro race at Sandown Hillside last time when boxing on well for sixth. This looks a suitable race from a nice gate. HEIWANA TAMASHI (3) resumes. He got over a bit of ground last time in, last seen running in a Listed race over 1600m at Flemington, finishing fifth there. Tough draw but has the ability to figure. MISS COMO (12) was solid on debut at Kilmore and is open to improvement.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Kirksville to win.
6 04:20 Smartloans Bendigo BM66 Handicap 1300m
Princess Toro should have enough pace to lead a low-pressure contest. Tricky race. KIRRIBILLI (9) was awful first up at Sandown Hillside as a $5.50 chance, beaten some nine lengths first up off an injury. Her limited form to date has always promised plenty in Group level and with the cobwebs blown out she can improve sharply. KHADIME (12) is another that was poor fresh, beaten a long way at Sale as a $2.60 hope fresh. Not sure what to make of that but we'll trust the market to some degree and his form last time in reads very well. GLASGOW LASS (2) resumes, over from Perth. She beat a good filly two back over 1800m at Ascot before failing to see out the 2200m at Listed level. Respecting her for the new camp and colours. FRIDGE MONSTER (5) is racing in fine form, notching up another win last time as a short priced favourite. Gets every chance again here from the gate and should run very well. SWEET JUSTICE (14) found the line well fresh and can improve.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Kirribilli on top.
7 04:55 Budget Car & Truck Hire BM66 Handicap 1500m
Reasonable tempo with a few going forward, headed by Sister Shay. ENTRUSTING (2) did enough first up at 1400m here, getting back and picking off a few late behind an unbeaten winner. Looked in need of more ground there having won over 1800m last time in and while this is still on the sharper side, he'll be fitter and can get over the top late. NEW KINGDOM (9) is a lightly raced type who ran well fresh at Geelong off a long spell, beaten 3.5 lengths. He's bred to stay and the stable should have him fit rising in trip now. MISS TRUSTFUL (14) broke through for a deserved win at Ballarat last time out, getting a good run and making the most of it. She can get into a good spot again here and measure up. COMPRESSING (4) resumes. He got out to the 2500m of a G1 SA Derby last time but showed good ability earlier and has to be considered. FIRE TRIBE (15) is going well and has each way claims.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Entrusting on top.
8 05:30 Bendigo Locksmiths BM66 Handicap 1100m
Expecting Innocent Enuff to find the lead but there will be plenty of pressure over the sharp trip. EDGES DIAMOND (3) is unbeaten from two starts, a tough winner on debut at Ararat before resuming at Geelong , straight to a BM66 there and finding the line late to get up by a nose. This is a bit harder again but it's a winnable race and his upside and profile makes him the one to beat. INNOCENT ENUFF (6) is flying, winning two in a row at Ballarat Synthetic before two good efforts since, handling the switch to turf in Adelaide well last time. She'll be up on speed and hard to get past. FORAGOODCAUSE (8) has been rock solid in two runs back from a spell and now gets to 1100m which can suit better. Likely gets back again but is open to improvement and looks a strong hope. HAPPY TIERS (14) worked home well fresh at this track and trip which was just her second career start having won well on debut. She won't need to improve all that much to be figuring. EL SALTO (5) was too good last time and has claims.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Edges Diamond to win.
