ASHES TEST SPORTSMAN'S LUNCH @ CLUDEN PARK 21 NOVEMBER Maiden Handicap 1200m
Cracking tempo with Dalt Jaz and Oscar Booie leading the way.
Former Victorian BREECHES (4) has been thereabouts in both runs since joining the new stable and strikes a very winnable contest here. Has hit the top-four at her past five starts and looks to be on the doorstep of a maiden victory. Rates the testing material against this line-up. DALT JAZ (6) has hit the frame in all three runs this campaign and gets the services of Cormack in the irons. Looms as the main danger. NATIONAL GOAL (1) strips fitter third-up from the spell and maps ideally from gate two. In the mix. ARIK LAD (10) was too bad to be true last time out but go on the close-up second over this track and trip two back. Worth another chance. OSCAR BOOIE (2) rounds out the selections. SUGGESTED PLAY: Breeches to shed the maiden tag. |

LIVING TURF BENCHMARK 60 Handicap 1609m
Expecting a genuine tempo.
The penny has dropped for OUT OF LUCK (2) who has three wins and a placing from just four starts this preparation and is racing with a lot of confidence of late. Is one from one over this course and distance and should prove very hard to hold out. CONVERTOR (5) has placed five from six over this track and trip and has just run into one better at the past couple. Sure to run well again. READY TIGER (1) has a handy record here on his home circuit with two wins and three placings from seven spins. Look for a better run. BOMBINATE (7) doesn't win out of turn but is usually thereabouts and is a must for the multiples. AIDENABET (4) goes well for hoop Jokic who has a win and four placings from seven steers. In the mix. SUGGESTED PLAY: Out Of Luck to continue the rich vein of form. |

HYGAIN QTIS Three-Year-Old Maiden Handicap 1000m
I'lltellyoui'min should lead but there are a few other speedy types who can keep her honest.
DRAGON TALES (2) resumes here but the form he showed when last in work was good enough for a race of this calibre. Tuned up for this with a recent trial placing and a strong showing while fresh would not surprise. OLD GOLD (4) just ran into one better at Rockhampton before being tipped out for further time to furnish. Set for a bold return. GOT THIS (11) has placed four of six overall and only needs some luck navigating from the sticky alley to be playing a role in the outcome. HAPHAZARD (3) is facing the starter for the first time but has shown ability at the trials and won't need to be a superstar to be competitive against this lot. Respect any market confidence. MISTER DOOBEE (6) next in line from the inside marble. SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Dragon Tales. |

THE BREAKING POINT CHALLENGE FOR THE CURE Class 2 Handicap 1000m
Expecting a strong tempo over this journey.
Former Victorian KATHY'S ROSE (4) looked good saluting over this track and trip when having the first run for the new stable and will have derived a stack of confidence from that victory. Can go right on with the job now. Former NSW galloper AGED CARE (1) just ran into one better first-up for the new yard and should find this easier than what he faced down south. Has to be included in calculations. RICH AGAIN (2) has hit the top-four at his past six outings and is racing very consistently of late. Top-three credentials. STATESWOMAN (12) has placed three of five around this circuit and may earn some minor money. KEEP ON RUNNING (6) best of the rest. SUGGESTED PLAY: Boxed Quinella 4,1,2. |

VALE DOUG BRUCE Class 6 Handicap 1400m
Fast tempo assured with Acclimatise, Room For Squares and City Playboy going toe-to-toe.
MOEGREEN (2) grows a leg for rider Cormack who has four wins and three placings from just eight steers and has hit a purple patch of form recently. Is yet to miss a drum in five attempts over this seven-furlong journey and should be right there when the whips are cracking. BRAVE AGENDA (4) has finished runner-up in three of her past four starts and looks to be knocking on the door of another victory. Can make her presence felt. BURRANEER BUOY (5) has won two of his past three including getting the chocolates here at the latest effort. In the mix on best form. PRINCE AKEEM (9) has a strong second-up record with two wins and a second from four starts. Cannot be discounted lightly. GOODNIGHT ROMEO (10) next best from the low draw. SUGGESTED PLAY: Moegreen to bring up the hat-trick. |

LADBROKES AMATEURS CUP OPEN Handicap 1609m
Vincenzo to take charge ahead of Reformist at a strong tempo.
GOING NUCLEAR (3) goes well for hoop Kendal who has four wins and a placing from just six rides and again gets the benefit of her 1.5kg claim. Has only missed a drum once in nine spins around this circuit and looks very hard to toss. DIVINE PURPOSE (4) has been right there in both runs this campaign and looks ready for the mile journey now. Has the ability to take this out. The well-related PEROVIC (6) (half to 2xG1 winner King's Legacy) went down by the narrowest of margins last time out and is usually thereabouts. Top-three commodity. HYDE PARK (12) will appreciate the sharp drop in weight and looks one for the exotics players. ACROPHOBIC (1) is a last-start winner who shouldn't be slept on. SUGGESTED PLAY: Siding with Going Nuclear. |

GORDON'S PINK AMATEURS SPRINT OPEN Handicap 1200m
Solid tempo set by Fodor and Demon Award.
KATHY'S BEAU (6) is a very consistent conveyance who has remarkably hit the top-five in 26 of his 27 career starts and doesn't know how to put in a poor one. Has a solid record over this six-furlong journey and is drawn to get all the favours from the inside alley. Will be right there at the business end. NORTHERN PRIDE (4) loves it here around this circuit with four wins and four placings from ten starts and will be high on confidence following that last-start victory. Worth serious consideration. GO GETABOY (2) is a four-time winner here and gets some weight relief with the 2kg claim. Top-three contender. DEMON AWARD (3) has been competing in richer races at the past couple and should find this assignment a touch easier. Worth another chance. VALENKI (5) has put back-to-back wins together and cannot be ignored. SUGGESTED PLAY: Kathy's Beau to run his usual honest race. |

GREAT NORTHERN BREWING CO RATINGS BAND 0 - 55 Handicap 1200m
Strong tempo assured from Prideofthebigfish and Vancouver Bay leading the charge.
The lightly-raced OUR IMPACT (3) has hit the top-four in all four career outings to date including boasting a win around this circuit when last in work. Looks the runner in this field with the most upside and rates among the leading chances. VEGAMEISTER (11) saves his best form for his home circuit here and will be rock-hard fit for this. Looks well placed so expect a strong performance. SPRING'S GIFT (10) finally broke the maiden status last time out and will have derived a stack of confidence from that victory. Can go right on with the job now. BUBBLES'N'FROTH (4) has placed over this track and trip and is better than the recent effort suggests. Worth another chance. PURPOSE 'N' VISION (9) next best despite the awkward draw. SUGGESTED PLAY: Leaning towards Our Impact. |
