NUM TIME COMMENT
1 10:40 Race 1 1400m
CAVALLI ALTI (1) finished a solid second last start over 820m at this track after racing prominently throughout. Looks well suited to settle just off the pace and is expected to be heavily involved in the finish. MAPLE DREFONG (2) improved last time out when fourth here after missing the placings two starts back, showing he is ready to fire in a suitable assignment. RUNRUN BEAM (3) was safely held on resuming from a spell last start over this trip, starting well in the market, but looks set to make a stronger impact second-up. AL RIHLA (4) closed into fifth last time and is nicely drawn to feature prominently in the finish this outing.
2 11:10 Race 2 1400m
OBEDIENT (10) showed plenty of promise last start when finishing a solid second over this track and trip. Osamu Shimohara stays aboard, and although he is yet to break through, he has been in the money on three occasions and shapes as a strong contender again. HANDEN LAURIER (4) is knocking on the door, having placed in consecutive starts, the latest when third after racing prominently throughout. On best figures, she is a major player. KEY CLASSIC (1) was in the money fresh and had strong market support last start but could only manage seventh. Capable of bouncing back to top form. YOSSHA (5) improved into third last time and holds genuine claims in this competitive line-up.
3 11:40 Race 3 820m
A tricky contest with a field of debutants set to line up. STEP EYE (4) is a two-year-old filly by Hokko Tarumae from the high-class broodmare Mellow Kumis. Promising and well-bred, she gets the services of top hoop Shimohara, suggesting she could hit the ground running. MIKAN MAN (6) makes his debut for the sharp Isao Nagakura stable. A Satono Aladdin colt from Mikansan, he looks a genuine contender if the market support arrives. KAWACHI ONDO (7) is a Copano Rickey filly from the in-form Nobuharu Morimoto yard. Any positive betting move should be taken seriously. HONKY TONK (1), a daughter of Oval Ace from Peach Furby, is worth keeping an eye on for early market interest.
4 12:10 Race 4 1400m
AGNES SANKI (8) remains a maiden after eight starts but is well fancied in this field. Last time out she attracted plenty of support and, after racing prominently on the turn, finished fifth. Looks ready to bounce back and could be hard to hold out. MALTS SCHON (6) showed plenty of early speed from a wide draw last start and led for much of the journey before fading late. Will be tough to reel in if he can maintain that pace. FROST CITY (4) improved into third over this track and distance last time after being prominent on the bend and is nicely placed to challenge again. SUBARASHII HIBI (7) was held last start but can feature prominently from this draw.
5 12:40 Race 5 1230m
A SHIN JASPER (7) was dominant last start over this track and trip, maintaining her unbeaten record at the course and distance in just two runs. She looks ready to go on with it and is a strong winning chance. DAIGO RYUJIN (3) returns from a break since June 13, having scored over 1400m at Himeji to kick off his last campaign. He has the ability to make an immediate impact. MAGICAL FACE (6) ran a much-improved third over this journey last time and is nicely placed to challenge again. MANGE TAK (9) has switched stables since finishing well back over 2000m at Sapporo last month. This easier assignment could see him play a more prominent role.
6 01:10 Race 6 1400m
SHUFFLE GIRL (1) did a great job to score over this course and distance when first-up from a break last time out. Finds a tougher race but another big run will not surprise. WONDER ETOILE (8) recorded a gutsy maiden victory last time out over this course and distance, scoring by a nose. Winning rider S Kawahara sticks and she is a great chance to go back-to-back. ULTIMAN (6) recorded a strong on-speed win last time by a neck over this journey at this track. Will give a sight again. BEST OF KING (7) produced a good run two starts back to finish third but disappointed last time when out of the placings at this track over the same trip. Finds a nice race and can atone.
7 01:40 Race 7 1230m
KARULA FACTOR (3) impressed last start with a pillar-to-post win by a neck over this track and trip on September 10. Has proven he handles the course and distance well, and there is no tougher assignment this time, making him very hard to beat. PRINCIPAL ACT (5) showed good early dash on his return from a break last time before fading to fourth over 1870m. Looks ready to challenge for a top-three finish over the shorter journey. JUNE STATUS (2) can also feature in a more suitable race.
8 02:15 Race 8 1400m
HERMANITO (9) rarely wins but ran a solid third over this track and trip last time, staying prominent at the bend and finishing strongly. His best figures are competitive and he should be in the mix again. ALA MOANA (1) makes his debut for the Yoshihiro Iida yard after finishing tenth over this journey at Hanshin Dirt three-and-a-half weeks ago. Could be a factor. KOHILO (2) returned from a break five-and-a-half weeks ago, pressing the pace before fading to sixth over 1400m at Chukyo Dirt. Well drawn in this easier grade and expected to challenge. VERT DRAGO (9) claimed a stylish win three runs back at Kochi before following up with minor placings at his last two starts. Can be competitive again. SHORT STOP (5) was fourth over this journey here two weeks ago, staying in contention but lacking the final punch. Well drawn and expected to improve, he can feature. BALL THE MAHONEY (6) missed the placings two starts back before showing solid progress last time. Looks ideally placed and should be in the mix again.
11 04:00 Race 11 1700m
SISYPHUS (5) finished strongly to place second over 1600m at Kawasaki last start, making up plenty of ground in the run home. He thrives at this journey with four wins from nine starts and should be closing powerfully again. MARUKA IGUAZU (2) returns from a break since July 21. Fresh he’s a danger, boasting three wins from four first-up runs, including over 1870m at this track last prep. One of the main chances. VICTIPHARUS (1) steps up for a new yard after a ten-week spell, having previously finished rearward in a Group 3 at Chukyo Dirt over 1400m. Expected to make his presence felt in this easier assignment. LUCKY DREAM (6) lines up after a long break. Has six wins and two placings from 10 runs first-up and must be respected.

MOON REY DE O (3) landed her maiden over this course and trip last time, showing promise in only a few runs. Well drawn and with plenty more to offer, she can follow up. KIKUNO RTA (12) is a distance specialist, dominant last start, and likely to be around at the finish again.
