NUM TIME COMMENT
1 05:45 Hygain Tracktorque BM64 Handicap 1000m
Expecting Tochka to lead Skipjack at just a moderate tempo. Small field but great race to open. BONNIE AMORE (4) is a lightly raced and promising mare back from a break. Won only try fresh and fitter for a jump-out win. Will get back and storm home. TOCHKA (5) is a speedy filly who was too sharp second-up over 1112m at Kilmore. Drawn to go forward again and will be in this for a long way. SKIPJACK (1) has been freshened since placing in richer grade last time at Caulfield Heath. Won only start course and distance and ticking over with a jump-out win recently. DEEP JOY (6) doesn't win often but is rarely far away and no stranger to this company. Drawn for a soft run off the leaders and with clear running can pounce late.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Like Bonnie Amore fresh.
2 06:15 Browns Sawdust & Shavings Maiden Plate 1000m
Brazenly should lead but there are a few other speedy types who can keep her honest. Plenty of win chances. ZWASP (2) resumed from a long break with a solid fourth at Pakenham and will be much fitter for it. The blinkers go on and expected to feature. ICED CHOCOLATE (9) is an interesting runner long overdue for a win. Former Qld'er who put together a string of placings before a break and a stable switch. Has been jumping out well and the blinkers on for return. Huge watch. ECHELON (3) was sixth here fresh then fourth at Yarra Valley last time. Tricky draw but another with the blinkers added and can measure up. ZOUTARA (10) has raced twice for two fourths, the latest when not the best away but burnt to the lead before fading late. Has the inside this time and with a clean break will give a sight. INSAIN HARRY (4) has shown ability in a few runs so far and will be working home strongly late. Watch the market with the two first starters.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Follow up on Zwasp.

Anticipating a strong tempo with plenty of speed engaged. Looks a good opportunity for AHHA AHHA (7) to break the ice. Close-up despite seventh at Flemington two back then fourth at Sale last time. Very well placed here in this line-up and will go close. YES I BELIEVE (6) has raced twice to date for two fifth, both beaten a few lengths. The blinkers are added for this and can improve sharply. TEMPUS TYCOON (10) made her debut here over 1000m and was solid into fourth after doing some work in the leading division. Better for the experience. NIC THE CASH (4) has been thereabouts but gets the shades today. Can do much better. SILENT FOX (2) was runner-up two back then was below par last time. Better than that and worth another chance.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Follow up on Ahha Ahha.
4 07:15 Good Friday Dual Codes 18 April BM64 Handicap 1600m
Not a great deal of pressure likely in the small field, with Futatsu a potential leader. Small field with the early favourite coming out. DETROIT CITY (1) has to be hard to beat and gets a chance to return to winning form. Has been in stakes grade at five of seven career runs, including the Australian Guineas two back then the Alister Clark last time. Unless he's outdashed, should have a bit on these. LITTLEBIRDIE (6) looks the biggest danger on last run and the small field will suit. Went forward and found one better last time and will give a sight again here. FUTATSU (4) looms as the other main threat. Was good fresh and now to the mile and with the run under the belt will go close. OCEANS ABOVE (2) was disappointing last time but drops in grade and is fitter for two runs back. Won't get a better chance to find his best. MARIOTA (3) was a winner two back then well below that last time. Can improve but needs to.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Detroit City gets his chance.
5 07:45 Ladbrokes Owners Bonus 3YO Maiden Plate 1400m
My Friday Beau to take up the running with Topmost and Puissance Power close at hand. Tough race and worth noting three of them return as geldings. DEMIQUAVER (9) looks nicely placed here. Found the trip too sharp fresh then out to this journey last time improved sharply, beaten a head. Doesn't have to improve much to take this out and has the claim and a good draw. TOPMOST (8) has started just twice and paced at both, the latest not far from the winner. Has upside and is expected to feature again. MY FRIDAY BEAU (5) has placed 3/4 starts so far including only try fresh. Returns here on the back of three hit-outs and expected to feature. LAVA DELTA (11) was a close-up fifth fresh just nabbed late last time. Will take catching again.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Demiquaver looks ready.
6 08:15 Urbangreen Projects Ryan Morrison 0 - 64 Handicap 1300m
Good pressure from the outset with British Poet, Five Star King and Hot Pursuit taking up the running over Stormfront and Il Cubo. IL CUBO (2) returns to home track and looks well placed. Freshened since a close-up fifth at Sandown Hillside last time and is overdue for a win. Won only try course and distance and expected to feature. BRITISH POET (1) was on speed and won a BM58 here last time. Racing well and will give a sight again. STORMFRONT (4) was close to the winner fresh then found himself in the lead last time and little went right. Much better than the run suggests and may well be worth another go. HOT PURSUIT (10) is fitter for two runs in and looks attractively weighted with the claim. Can give a sight.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Stay with Il Cubo.
7 08:45 Mark Carlson 50 Ducks BM64 Handicap 2025m
Warchime is likely to roll to the lead and set a decent tempo. Tough race to finish with a host of win chances. FAGIN (1) has been thereabouts lately but in much tougher company. Comes back in grade for this and on best figures will go close this level. REBADGE (3) was only fair fresh then improved sharply second-up. Extra trip is a plus and fitter again. Looks cherry ripe. WINDS OF MARCH (7) has been fourth last two and not far away over more ground. Three weeks between runs and although back in trip has won two of three this journey. Must go in everything. MIDORI MOVER (6) has been runner-up at last two and is overdue for a win. First try at the trip but going well and among the main hopes. MIYAZAWA (9) has also been runner-up at last couple and both over similar trips. Attractively weighted with the claim and should be in the mix.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Fagin well placed this class.
