Has a solid record at this journey and expected to run well. DOUBLE REED (4) was fifth in a 1400m contest at this track a week-and-a-half ago. Starts closer in this time and is a major player.

Strong chance to kick the campaign off on the right note. UP TEMPORALE (6) was safely held when eighth last time out over 1400m here after a win at this track at the previous outing. Has the class to figure prominently and worth including. MASQUERADE (3) showed little early speed last start then picked up impressively in the straight to finish third at this track over today's journey. Expected to feature again.

KAMI ARASHI (2) raced below his best last time when seventh over 1400m here. Finds a nice race and can bounce back. SUN AMARYLLIS (6) improved last start but found a couple better over 1400m at this track. One of the leading chances. HIMAWARINO KO (4) was fourth over 1400m at this track two weeks ago. Nicely placed to find some form.

Finds a suitable race and can go on to take this out. KOHAKUNO KAGAYAKI (3) is looking to break through after filling a minor placing at both starts this campaign, last time out when third over 1400m at this track. Could be the one to beat. COUNTRY MADAM (7) finished out of the money when fourth in a 1400m contest at this track two weeks ago. Finds a nice race and can feature in the finish. MEISHO SUIKEI (1) missed the frame last start over 1400m at this track, finishing fifth. Likely improver with strong top-three prospects.

Has a good record at this course and distance, including a win and two minor placings. This doesn't look as hard so he can play a big role. HIRUNO VICTORIA (2) raced on the speed last start over this course and distance and stuck on well to finish second. Rates a hope. ASUKA SEON (1) finished fourth at her last appearance over 1400m at this track on June 4. This looks a nice race so expect her to finish closer.

STAR PRESIDENT (4) didn't make an impact at his last run before going for a spell on January 22, finishing seventh over 1600m at this track. Worth plenty of thought fresh. ELIXIR (3) missed the frame last start over 1400m at this track when seventh. Can bounce back.

Looks well placed so expect a better run this time.

MIKAZUKI (4) was in contention all the way and fought on for second last start over 1400m at this track, making it three minor placings in a row. Goes up a rung or two but she is good enough to figure in the finish. SPRING MOON (5) caught the eye last start over 1400m at this track, coming from the tail and running on strongly to score by a neck. Confidence high after that last performance so she is right in the mix again. NIHONPIRO PORT (7) ran a better race last start, finishing fourth over 1400m at this track. Finds a nice race and can atone.

THALJ TAJ (3) confidence is high after winning most recently as favourite on May 23 at this track over 1400m. Will attempt to add to his impressive record at this track and distance. Rates highly and will prove tough to beat here as always. NAMURA MICHELLE (2) has put together a couple of wins at this track, the latest on June 4 over 1400m when she got home by 1.5 lengths. Winning rider Tatsuya Watanabe retains the mount. Meets some better types this time but she has the ability to test this field. ICARUS (8) did a great job to score by 5 lengths over today's course and distance last start to maintain his good form of late. Taking on a better line-up this time but he can win again. EIFER DAIO (6) didn't do a bad job when second last start over 1400m here after a win at this track the start prior. Best figures measure up and expect a bold run.
