MATTHEW (7) turned in a fine effort to win dominantly over this course and distance when first-up from a layoff last time out. Going up a level this time but he can win again. TAKAMAKI THREE (3) disappointed last time at this track after a close third at this track the run prior. Better suited at this shorter trip so looks sure to feature. KEN SPIRYTUS (2) was close to a maiden win before a four months break, finishing off with a placing over 1400m at this track. Expect he has come on over the break. Strong winning chance on best figures. SPY ON HEART (4) ran fourth at her latest appearance over 1200m at Funabashi. Solid top-three hope.

SCREAM EAGLE (6) found the line nicely last start to get up for second at Funabashi. Will be tough to stop again. YU YU LIEN (1) finished out of the money when fourth over 1400m at this track four weeks ago after being in the firing line on the bend. Nicely placed to get the prize. SURPRISE GIFT (12) finished fifth last time out over 900m at Kawasaki after being prominent at the corner a week ago. Tackles a longer journey this time. Leading hope. SPARKLE GIRL (11) never really threatened when resuming last time out, finishing midfield. Should be in the finish. Can feature with the right run.

FIRE TORCH (1) is a two-year-old filly by Pyro out of Hanano Parade on debut for the Satoshi Kokubo stable. Should be primed for a strong showing. Keep an eye on betting. PAMPLE MUSEE (2) is on debut for the Tomoyuki Fujihara stable. Two-year-old colt by Bulldog Boss from Las Payasadas. Should acquit himself well. Keep an eye out for any positive market movement. WONDER LEAGUE (3) is facing the starter for the first time. By Gold Dream and comes from the Katsufumi Suzuki stable. Respect any positive move in betting. SUN PILLAR (5) is appearing for the first time. By Asia Express and hails from the Kazunori Sakai stable. Top-three chance.

DOUBLE X (5) is on debut for the Takeshi Minowa stable. Two-year-old colt by Rainbow Line from Apothecary. Looks a definite contender, particularly if the money comes. POWER OF THE KING (1) is a two-year-old colt on debut. From a family of winners, being by Curren Black Hill from May Lady. Should get all the favours from this good gate and should play a big role. HAKUSHIN DRAGON (2) is on debut. By Eskendereya and comes from the Maki Hirayama stable. Top-three chance.

JACK (2) is a two-year-old colt by Mendelssohn out of Gradient stepping out on debut for the Satoshi Kokubo stable. Should hit the ground running. Watch for positive market moves. BEER BOY (1) is a two-year-old colt by Transcend out of Neroli on debut for the Maki Hirayama stable. Leading prospect on face value, with betting holding the key. AMBER DRESS (3) is appearing for the first time. By Toby's Corner and is out of the Kazunori Sakai stable. Any push in betting should be respected. SHINANO SHOGUN (4) is a two-year-old colt on debut from the stable of Yoshikazu Kanuma. By Hokko Tarumae from Brave Ski. Worth watching for a betting push.

ANGE MISTRAL (3) is an honest type who impressed last time, scoring comfortably over 1400m at this track. Likely to push forward and race on the pace. Best form puts her right in this. ITSUTSUBOSHI (1) finished second last start over 1500m at Funabashi. Prior to that had won two races on end, the last of those at this circuit. Can bounce straight back. TOKOTOKO TOKKOTOKO (2) recorded a gutsy maiden victory last time out here scoring by a head. Looks well placed and she is right in the mix again. MELOS GO (6) is coming off a last-start fourth. Must be respected.

SIESTA KEY (1) finished third two runs back at Kawasaki then improved last time out to score dominantly as favourite over 1400m at this track. Looks well placed so expect another big run. SUMOMOMOMOMOMOMOMO (5) improved last start to finish third after being in the firing line on the turn. Well placed and there is no reason she cannot find winning ways. FEMININE LOOK (7) last raced just five days ago when seventh over 1500m at Kawasaki. Likely improver with top-three prospects. HARMONY JOEY (10) ran well below his best last time at Funabashi. Should settle just off the speed despite the draw. Not to be discounted.

KURINO FALCON (8) was an impressive winner last time over 1200m at Funabashi, adding to an impressive series of results this time in work. Looks very tough to beat again. ELEGANT JEWELRY (4) strode forward early last start from her wide draw and was never headed, scoring by a neck at this track over 1500m. Sound record at this distance with two wins and six minor placings from 11 runs and is right in this. BRIGHT GASSAN (9) finished third two runs back at Funabashi then improved last time out to score by 2 lengths over 1400m at this track. Well placed and there is no reason he cannot score again. PANDEIRO (6) was prominent on straightening last time but faded late when fourth over 1400m at this track. Should be poised just off the lead. One of the better hopes.

RICKEY MACCHIATO (10) was well fancied last start over 1500m at this track when second. Record here is impressive with two wins from six starts. Right in this. RIKO LOUISE (2) ran well below her best last time here. Has the speed to be prominent. Will play a major role. KITADAKE (9) started at $6.50 last time on the back of a win at this track two starts ago but was below his best, finishing sixth. Has the ability to put the recent run behind him. YUMEMIRU TSUKI (6) next best.

MASAHAYA AN (10) turned in a modest performance when third last time out. That followed a win at this track at the previous outing. Well placed and there is no reason she cannot make amends. GUILLERMO (4) turned in a decent effort last start to finish third. Tackling a deeper field this time but he is good enough to figure in the finish. RYUNO PHANTOM (2) improved sharply on his tenth two starts back at this track with success at this track four weeks ago, getting home by 3 lengths after being in contention on the corner. Finds a tougher race but he has the ability to test this field. EDONO SMILE (9) next best.

KEN ATLAS (2) has been going well this preparation, scoring last start over 1400m at this track to make it two wins from four runs this time in. Genki Fujimoto who has scored on him two times retains the mount. Among the leading chances. JO ILMUR (1) was expected to do more last start when out of the placings at Kawasaki. Going up a level this time but she has the ability to mix it with them. JUN KUTTARA (7) found the line nicely to grab third last time out over 1400m at this track. All set to run well. MIRACLE RUNBACK (4) finished sixth in a 2000m contest at Kawasaki at his latest appearance. Finds a nice race and can make amends.

PRINCE OSO (6) did a great job to score by half a length over this course and distance last start to maintain his good form of late. Suitably placed so anticipating another big run. MEISHO CLARK (2) bounced back last start and got the job done impressively after being prominent at the corner over 2000m at this track. Going up a level this time but he is up to the challenge. COSMO PANDORA (5) started at $3.70 last time but could only manage fourth here. Better than the last suggests. Worth following. SILVER NEEDLE (7) ran below expectations last time at this track over 2000m, finishing fourth. Has the pace to be in a prominent position from the outset. Don't underestimate.
