AMANATTO (3) produced a promising debut effort over this distance at the Vaal when finishing fourth of 16. She would have gained from the experience and with the natural improvement that is expected, she should take a power of beating in this field. LOCK AND KEY (9) is an unraced daughter of Master Of My Fate from the Glen Kotzen stable with Richard Fourie in the saddle. If not too green in the running she should give a good account of herself. The betting market will be the best guide with regards to her chances. MISS MUNROE (10) was in need of her debut effort against winners. She would have come on from the run and in maiden grade she can improve to finish in the placings. TAKE YOUR TIME (4) is facing the starter for the first time. By Legislate and is out of the Justin Snaith stable. It would pay to watch for any positive betting moves.

SILENT TRIGGER (7) finished last of 10 last start but it's best to forget that run as he raced very wide around the turn. His effort when finishing second of 14 over this course and distance three runs back catches the eye. It is encouraging that S'manga Khumalo is booked to ride and with luck in the running he should be figuring in the finish. BUZZ BOMB (3) cost himself at the start last time out. He will like the rise in distance and with Richard Fourie in the saddle should return to form. SHOTGUN WILLIE (1) proved too strong when scoring two runs back at Greyville but disappointed last time out when finishing 10th over 1600m at this track. Has each-way claims.
