ROCCAPINA (12) produced a promising debut effort over this course and distance last start when sent out as the favourite, finishing a long-neck second of 15. She challenged strongly all the way to the line but found one too good on the day. CAPE RACING SALES MAIDEN JUVENILE PLATE 1000m
SUMMER SNOW (9) has shown good improvement in each of his outings to date. He raced from a prominent position over this course and distance last time and stayed on well to finish second. It must be noted that the horse that finished third that day has come out and won since. He is a progressive type and can go one place better. BILLY COOL (10) showed improvement when finishing third of 10 over 1200m last time out at this track when resuming from a spell. He should have no issues with the drop to 1000m and with Grant van Niekerk in the saddle rates well as an each-way chance. IKO IKO (12) was slightly disappointing in his last start over this course and distance. He resumes from a spell during which time he was gelded. If finding the form of his penultimate run when finishing third of nine should be figuring in the finish. RHYTHM KING (5) was in need of his debut effort last start when finishing fifth. He would have gained from the experience and can place. |

PENTOLINA (3) raced wide around the turn last time which did not help her cause when finishing fourth of 12 as the favourite. Her penultimate run when third of 12 over this course and distance was a solid run. Has a big rider change with Richard Fourie in the saddle and from a good draw of three rates highly. GREENLIGHT SKYE (6) showed good improvement when finishing second of 13 in her last start over this course and distance. She is a progressive type and is one of the leading chances. CORAL BLAZE (4) missed the placings two runs back then improved last start when finishing third of 12 when sent out at long odds. She has a good draw of four and has each-way claims. ONE GIANT LEAP (11) ran an improved race finishing midfield last start at this track when sent out at long odds. Racing over a longer trip today can place. |

SONG TO THE MOON (6) challenged strongly in his last start over this course and distance and was only beaten a nose. Having his third start and with Richard Fourie back in the saddle looks well placed to go one better. LOOK FORWARD (13) has been taking on winners in her last three starts. She is better than her last run would suggest and racing back in maiden grade should give the males a decent run for their money. GIMMETHELIMELIGHT (5) is better than her last start run looks on paper as she was reported to be coughing. She finished second in her only attempt over this course and distance. She is having her peak run today and can show improvement. Worth a second look. TYPICALLY FRENCH (10) resumes from a spell and fresh-up with luck in the running can place. |

KWITE A KING (4) resumes from a spell having finished third in his last three starts. The manner in which he finishes off his races suggests that he will relish the rise to 1950m. If not in need of this run he should prove hard to beat. JACK IN THE GREEN (8) finished second of nine here over 1800m last start but may have cost himself winning as he hung over the final 400m. He should have no issues with the rise to 1950m and if keeping on a straight line, he can go one place better. AMANCIO (9) showed improvement when finishing second of 13 over 1600m last time out. He is having his peak run and should like the extra 200m on offer. With a bit of luck from his wide draw of nine he should be figuring in the finish. GOLDEN GREY (7) has been in the money three times including last time out when third of 13 over 1600m at this track when sent out at long odds. Has recorded three top-three finishes from eight runs at this track and is a must include in exotic bets. |

AMONG THE CLOUD (4) disappointed last start over 1400m after having placed in both of her previous last two starts. She should have no issues with the rise to 1800m. Richard Fourie takes over the reins and he may be able to coax that little bit extra out of her when it matters most. PLUM PUDDING (9) has strong form having won twice and placed second three times from her last five starts, including last time out when second of nine over this course and distance when sent out as the favourite. Looks well placed in this line-up to go one place better. BASIC MANEUVERS (6) ran home well last start when finishing third of nine at this track over 1800m. Racing well and should be fighting out the finish. COULDITBE (5) scored here last start at this track over today's distance. From a handy draw should race up on the speed and she can easily go back-to-back. |

SPIRIT'S UNITE (5) ran a nice race last time out over 1400m at this track, finishing third of 10 when sent out as the favourite. He has drawn a handy gate and should be fighting out the finish. Can atone. LIKETHECLAPPERS (12) set the pace over this course and distance last time out but found one too good on the day. It's worth noting that the winner of that last race has since come out and scored again. He has finished second in three of his last five starts and should go close to taking this race out. GOLD INDEX (6) ran a solid race last time out when finishing a close-up fourth of 10 over 1400m at this track. Well worth an each-way ticket. BANK STREET (13) in just his third start won by a nose over 1200m at this track last time out. He has a wide gate to overcome but racing over a longer trip should be finishing in the money. |

QHAWEKAZI (8) is much better than her last start run would suggest. She is unbeaten from two starts over this course and distance. Richard Fourie who won on her two starts back steps back into the saddle and she should be returning to form. GLEE CLUB (1) stayed on well when finishing second of eight over 1600m last time. She jumps from the inside gate and has solid each-way claims. LITTLE MISS PINK (9) ran on well when winning her last start over this course and distance when well supported. She rises in grade but she is in a good space and is well worth considering. |

ALL ABOUT AL (2) finished a game third of 12 over this course and distance last start. He jumps from an inside draw and rates well in this line-up as a leading contender. MIGHTY MAC (10) resumed from a spell over 1200m at this track last start and finished a game second of 12 when sent out at long odds. Richard Fourie who won on him two starts back takes over the reins. Racing in a fitter state he should be fighting out the finish. ESCARPMENT (9) showed good speed when winning his last start over this course and distance, beating the above selection. Now that he is back in winning form can repeat the dose. LUNCH MONEY (4) won his last start here when well supported over 1000m and was then put out for a spell. He has placed previously when produced fresh-up and jumping from his good draw of four can finish in the money. Include in combinations. |
