NUM TIME COMMENT
1 03:20 Race 1 1400m
MERRY PRANK (9) disappointed as favourite last time when sixth over 1300m at this track. Prior to that she had been in the money two races on end. Has good early toe so she should be handy in the run. Expected to be in the finish. MEISHO INASE (1) missed the placings two starts back then ran a better race when he worked home well and finished 2.75 lengths away in fifth last time out over 1300m at this track. Well placed and there is no reason he cannot find winning ways. LETTING GO (2) made progress last start to finish second over 1300m at this track after being in contention on the bend. Looks well placed so expect another big run. GIRO ROSA (7) was unplaced two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 1300m at this track, beaten 5 lengths into sixth. Better than recent efforts suggest.
2 03:55 Race 2 1400m
DANON JULIUS (10) raced on the pace last start and lifted strongly to hold second, beaten a neck, over today's journey at this track. Meets some better types this time but a big run is on the cards. SWIFT ARROW (7) has been in the placings at her last two starts, finishing third last time when she was always up in the leading division over 1300m at this track. Nicely placed to feature in the finish. BLUE SWAT (9) is yet to break through after 17 starts. Placed two back then last time out was fourth, beaten 1.4 lengths, over 1300m at this track. Best form stacks up and he is among the chances. KASHINO FELIX (3) fought on for third last start over 1300m at this track, beaten 7 lengths to add to some fine recent form. Well placed and there is no reason she cannot find winning ways.
3 04:30 Race 3 1400m
SMILE MARK (10) turned in a fine effort to score by 2 lengths at today's course and distance last start to maintain her good form of late. Nicely placed to score once again. YOIDEWA NAIKA (2) settled well back before finishing 4 lengths adrift in fifth over 1300m at this track last time. Backmarker who keeps coming. Will be tough to hold out. ASTRAL POCKET (1) finished fourth last start over 1300m at this track after racing on the pace for much of the way. Will give backers a sight. GUNNEL (9) drifted back from his wide draw last time then hit the line hard to finish second at this track over 1300m. One of the main contenders.
4 05:05 Race 4 900m
T M HISHO (2) has been a regular in the winners' stall of late including last start in dominant fashion over 1400m at this track. Winning rider Shoma Kanayama retains the mount. Meeting a deeper field this time but he is up to the challenge. AKIBA (6) returned from a spell three weeks ago when she was in the firing line on the turn before being beaten 8 lengths into fourth over 1400m at this track. Stepping up a level this time but with added fitness she is good enough to take this out. HOKKO AKATSUKI (10) was disappointing over 1400m at this track last time out when in the market. That followed a good second the run prior. It doesn't get any easier but on his best form he is capable of a big performance. ONNE MATKA (3) missed the placings two runs back then improved last start but found a couple better over 1400m at this track, beaten 6 lengths. Likely improver with strong prospects.
5 05:40 Race 5 1300m
LAZULITE SANA (3) raced on the speed last start and battled on well but found one better over 1300m at this track. Going well enough to take this out. MORNING SAKURA (7) proved too strong two runs ago at this track. Less impressive last time out when tenth over 1400m at this track, beaten 6 lengths after being in contention on the bend. Best figures measure up. Sure to run well. RODOLFO BRAIN (1) has recorded two minor placings from three runs this preparation. Produced another good performance last start when third over 1400m at this track after he was always up in the leading division. Nicely placed to give this a mighty shake. NADIA QUEEN (10) ran below expectations last time at this track, finishing seventh and beaten 5 lengths. Looks well placed so expect a better run this time.
6 06:10 Race 6 1300m
T M BOBBY DAN (5) led throughout last start to score an effortless 6 lengths win over 900m at this track. Will prove very tough to beat. HOSPITALITE (9) saluted at this track two runs ago. Not disgraced last time out when fourth over 1400m at this track, beaten 1.75 lengths. Well placed and there is no reason she cannot make amends. RYUNO BRIDA (2) hit the frame two starts ago at this track but ran below par last time when sixth and beaten 4 lengths over 1400m at this track. Yet to miss the frame in two starts over this course and distance. Well placed and there is no reason he cannot find winning ways. SHOHEI HIME (3) performed above expectations last time over 1400m at this track, finishing 1.5 lengths from the winner in third after starting at huge odds. Can play a role again.
7 06:40 Race 7 1400m
SMILE FOREST (12) got the prize two runs ago at this track. Not as effective last time out when fifth over 900m at this track, beaten 3 lengths. Ideally placed and is sure to be there at the finish. KENTUCKY DANCE (10) drifted back over 1750m here last time before winding up late to finish fourth, beaten 4 lengths. Expected to measure up. STAR OF MELODY (5) settled well back last start and never threatened when 8 lengths from the winner in tenth over 900m at this track. This is a nice drop in grade so she is a major player. BUCKLER (6) ran eighth at his latest appearance over 900m at this track, clocking in 6 lengths from the winner. Profiles to run well.
8 07:15 Race 8 1400m
SHOW YUSHI (3) raced on the speed and kept going to score by a head last time out over 1300m at this track. Should enjoy a good run just off the speed. Taking on a better line-up this time but he is up to the challenge. ANTONIO HIROKI (6) ran below expectations last time at this track, finishing fifth and beaten 6 lengths starting at $3.20. Hard to beat in this suitable race. LOT CLOVER (2) comes here fresh from an all-the-way win by a neck over today's journey at this track on March 30. Must be included. ASTRAIOS (11) has been out of the winner's list for a long time, last start finishing fourth at this track over 1400m. Placed to advantage so expect a bold run.
9 07:45 Race 9 1400m
TRYFAN (8) turned in a fine effort to score by 5 lengths at this course and distance last start in a much improved run. Meeting a tougher field but on his best form he is capable of another big performance. GLANZ ECLAT (5) is a distance specialist who was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start when he got a long way back over 1750m at this track, beaten 6 lengths into eighth. Has a good record at this course and distance, including five wins. Finds a nice race and can feature in the finish. COSMO SALM (7) made progress last time out, finishing 7 lengths from the winner in third at the end of 1400m at this track after being in contention on the bend. Likely improver with strong prospects. LONG SUCCESSION (10) turned in another moderate effort last start when 13 lengths from the winner in tenth over 1800m at this track. Worth noting Shinsuke Ishikawa goes aboard. Well placed to bounce back.
10 08:20 Race 10 1800m
MARY (10) finished 7 lengths adrift in tenth last time at this track in a disappointing performance. Suitably placed so anticipating a big run this time. RINNO PALPITO (1) fought on for third last start over 1400m at this track, making it three minor placings in a row. Drawn to stalk the leaders. Steps up a level but he is capable of running a bold race. SHIGERU PEGASUS (8) finished 4 lengths behind the winner in second over 1400m at this track last start after lifting strongly to score two runs back. Should camp just off the leaders. Should be involved in the finish. D D DAY (5) was unplaced two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 900m at this track, beaten 5.5 lengths into fifth. Nicely placed to find some form.
11 08:50 Race 11 900m
PLATINUM RIBBON (6) resumes from a spell of eight months and looked close to a win before that break, finishing off with a minor placing over 1300m at this track. Can pick up where he left off. Can make a winning return. DERMA UWATENAGE (4) is yet to break through after five career starts. Could only manage to finish eighth last time out over 1400m at this track following a minor placing at this track over 900m the run prior. Cannot be left out of calculations. YUIMARU LADY (7) finished out of the money two starts back then was beaten 9 lengths when sixth in a 1300m contest at this track three weeks ago. Likely improver with strong prospects. IRISE LUZ (1) turned in a better run last start, beaten 7 lengths into fifth over 1300m at this track. Has her share of ability and is a top-three prospect.
