NUM TIME COMMENT
1 11:29 BISLEY WORKWEAR HANDICAP 1100m
Magic Belle is the probable leader in the small field. MAGIC BELLE (7) stuck on well first-up over 1000m here, finishing 1.3L off the winner who has since placed in Saturday grade. Should be better for that effort and she has shown good pace in her previous starts. Brown replaces the apprentice hoop and with improvement expected, she's the one to beat. FINADO (4) trialled well leading into his debut and wasn't disgraced there, beaten 2L. Winkers come off now and McNaught hops back in the saddle after being on board for his lead up trials. Can make his presence felt. RUN PATTIE RUN (5) disappointed in open company 18 days ago but the form out of that race has been red hot. Starts prior suggested she was trending the right way. Pike takes the ride now and she's sure to put her best foot forward. BRAVE SHOT (2) got the job done last time out and can build on that effort.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Magic Belle goes on top.
2 12:04 TABTOUCH - HAVE YOU GOT THE TOUCH MAIDEN 1100m
Plenty of unraced runners engaged which muddies the map a little. It is fair to assume a slick tempo. A wide open 2YO event. EARL IT IS (12) was only fair in Saturday grade on debut and will appreciate dropping back into easier company. Steve Parnham hops in the saddle now and while he was 20-1 on debut, he rates well in this event. Likely to be in the thick of the finish. SCENIC GEORGE (1) is the most experience horse in the race and he won his lead up trial coming into this. Chris Parnham rode him there and sticks in the saddle for today's assignment. Draws nicely and is sure to be in the finish. GINGER AND TONIC (7) is on debut today after winning a recent trial with Staples in the saddle. Has claims. QUICK AS SILVER (4) has shown plenty of ability at the trials and is not to be discounted.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Siding with Earl It Is in an open event.
3 12:39 AMELIA PARK HANDICAP 1000m
Cracking early tempo with Riseanfall and Kings Honour leading the way. RISEANFALL (6) went close to making it back-to-back wins but bumped into a smart one last start at this track and trip. The winner has since been placed in Saturday company. Louis should be able to hold the front from an inside alley and if she can hold run up to her recent form, she'll take beating. KINGS HONOUR (5) looks a progressive galloper who led down the Pinjarra straight to win at $1.20 last time out. Visors go on again and he looks to have plenty of upside. Can improve again now third-up and make his presence felt. DEMITO (7) made it three wins in-a-row when scoring by 0.4L at Albany last time out as favourite. Hard to knock her recent form and she may be the one to sit in behind and get over the top of them late. GALAXY CAT (3) has been placed 3/5 first-up and was competitive in Saturday grade at the end of last prep. Include.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Riseanfall can get the job done.
4 01:14 NATIONAL PUMP AND ENERGY MAIDEN 1500m
Moderate tempo with Schnoots leading the way and a few others keeping in touch. LET SPARKS FLY (8) just missed second-up over 1413m at Pinjarra and looks ready to go to the next level now third-up into the campaign. While the draw is sticky, trust Parnham to get it right and stepping out in trip doesn't appear an issue. Should be knocking this off if she gets back to her peak figure. STRYKER'S GAL (9) was no match for a good winner at Pinjarra last time out and steps out a little further in trip. The time on the day was slower than what Let Sparks Fly ran which is a niggle, but both races were run differently. Nicely drawn and can make his presence felt. LOOK HERE PUNK (1) was beaten just 0.5L over 1200m at Geraldton second-up and stepping out to this trip now looks ideal. He should get every chance from the draw and with improvement expected, he can be right in the finish. COVENTRY REEF (3) quickened nicely first-up off a slow tempo and isn't without a chance in this. SCHNOOTS (6) can improve with Pike in the saddle third-up.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Let Sparks Fly gets the nod.
5 01:49 STUDCO HANDICAP 1000m
Solid tempo likely from the outset with a number of speedy beginners engaged, most notably Just So Sassy and Teabiscuit. MASAMUNE (1) contested some strong races last campaign, before finally knocking off his maiden prior to a spell. He looks in good order judging by his recent trial and he draws nicely for CJP. Can be prominent in the run and if he runs up to what he did last prep, he should be winning. WEAPONIZE (2) only had two starts last campaign in a relatively inconclusive preparation. He'll be fitter for a trial coming into this and Steve Parnham sticks from that trial. His best form is good enough, he just needs to be at that level first-up. TWIGGER (3) showed plenty of talent in his debut campaign and comes into this without a public trial. Pike strikes at 14% when riding for Luciani and he creates plenty of interest first-up today. ROCKING GEM (7) went close first-up and can be in the mix second-up with improvement anticipated. ROMMING DANGER (6) looked good in a recent trial and is not to be discounted.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Keen on Masamune.
6 02:24 WESTERN RACEPIX HANDICAP 1200m
Expecting The Big One to find the lead but there will be plenty of pressure over the sprint trip. ZANGIEF (2) made it back-to-back wins when scoring by 0.6L over this course and distance 13 days ago in this grade. This looks a similar set up today and he only rises 1.5kg for the win. Chris Parnham takes the ride this time and he looks set to bring up the hat-trick. STORM LEADER (6) finished 0.9L behind Zangief last time out and meets him better at the weights today. Bar Plates go on his front feet which is a slight niggle, but he rates well off the latest effort. Wouldn't surprise to see him go one better this time around despite the sticky draw. GOLD KEEPER (5) was strong first-up over this track and trip and boasts a strong second-up record. Wide draw is a little niggle, but if he has improvement to come from the fresh effort he'll take plenty of beating. THE BIG ONE (7) steps out in trip second-up and has placed 4/4 at this stage of the campaign. Include. ECSTASY OF GOLD (8) may find this on the sharp inside but she has plenty of class. Must be kept safe.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Zangief can bring up the hat-trick.
7 03:00 QUAYCLEAN HANDICAP 1200m
Expecting Janny to find the lead but there will be plenty of pressure over the sharp trip. JANNY (6) is a lightly raced filly working her way through the grades nicely. She just missed in a good race last start and looks well placed in this event. At peak fitness now and she has the speed to work across from the wide alley. Big tick with Pike sticking and she can go one better this time. VAMPI AT PLAY (1) drops right back in grade today after being just 1.1L off the winner in Listed company last start. That rating is a bit of an outlier, but her previous efforts rate strongly against this field as she was competitive in Saturday grade. She appears the main danger. CAPO VELOCE (3) resumed from a break in good order, finishing just 0.7L off the winner when running on strongly from the back. Fitter for that effort and now out to 1200m which does look to suit. Sure to be right in the finish. MY JIMMY (4) ended last campaign in good touch and can make his presence felt on resumption. QUINDANDINO (5) can improve on the fresh effort.  SUGGESTED PLAY: With Janny in a good race.
8 03:40 RELIABLE ASSET MAINTENANCE HANDICAP 1400m
Kermit's Luck and Henry Has Spoken to take up the running at a strong tempo. IMA WILD GIRL (5) boasts a strong third-up record and can improve off a 1.4L defeat at Geraldton last time out. William Pike now hops in the saddle and getting out in trip should help her chances. Can bounce back into the winners stall in this suitable assignment. CHERRY'S A STAR (3) was good here 13 days ago when beaten 1.6L at this trip. She's a third-up winner in the past and whilst she is drawn a little sticky, she's likely to get back anyway. Chris Parnham rides now and she'll give the top pick something to think about. CRIMMO (1) rattled home from a long way back last time out and can sit much closer in the run today. Went around favourite in a harder race two starts ago, Going well without winning but looks to have found a good race for him today. KERMIT'S LUCK (2) was just okay first-up and should appreciate this easier company. Likely improver. HENRY HAS SPOKEN (4) can take up the running and prove tough to catch.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Ima Wild Girl gets the nod.
9 04:15 ASCEND TROPHIES HANDICAP 1400m
Protege to take charge ahead of More Than Enuff at a good tempo. WEERAECHOUX (6) produced a strong first-up effort when 1L behind a progressive galloper at Pinjarra. The wide draw is a little sticky, but he's expected to have come on following the fresh run. Still has plenty of upside and his best efforts have come over this trip. The one to beat. MORE THAN ENUFF (1) wasn't far behind the winner at Pinjarra 20 days ago and gets some weight relief with the claim of Martinan. Can be prominent in the run and is expected to prove tough to run past third-up into the prep. PANDORA GIRL (7) should appreciate getting back out in distance and is not to be discounted. STRIKING FELLA (4) led and won over this trip first-up and now gets Pike in the saddle. Can repeat the dose.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Siding with Weeraechoux.
10 04:55 DRUMMOND GOLF HANDICAP 1800m
Abundant early pace from Miss Ava taking up the running ahead of Do It Right. Wide open race to end the day. STOP DREAMING (4) ran home well over this track and trip last time out, beaten just 0.9L. At peak fitness snow and he draws a better gate for Chris Parnham who remains in the saddle. Was favourite last time out and looks well placed to get the job done this time. PRESIDENT SAM (8) scored narrowly at Pinjarra last start and looks ready to go on with the job. Third-up and out to this trip for just the second time, but he did perform well on that occasion. Wide draw hurts but he's bound to be in the finish if he gets the breaks. MISS AVA (1) was very strong on resumption, winning by 0.6L and she immediately steps out to this trip. It's the first time she's been to this distance which is a niggle, but she has raced well at a mile previously. Gets in nicely after the claim and is not to be discounted. BLACK FOR CASH (6) has strong claims after the last start effort.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Going with Stop Dreaming in the last.
