NUM TIME COMMENT

Many of these youngsters step out for the first time so a frantic pace early on is likely. BLUE RENEGADE (1) started big odds on debut but nearly caused the upset, boxing on well to finish second, beaten just a neck. Sure to be better for that run and Damian Lane sticks with him. Will take plenty of catching. MARKDEL (7) resumes having run third on debut to the talented Stay Focused on debut in a strong race at Geelong. That form should hold up very well here. BEAUTIFUL JEWEL (10) is a filly by Highland Reel on debut for the Maher yard. She's won a trial in readiness and must be respected. CYCLONE COCO (4) was last in a field of 3 on debut but looks an improver this time in.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Blue Renegade on top.
2 01:00 Senet Gambling Law Experts Handicap 1000m
Solid pace from Wondereach and Zourata pushing forward with Jewel Bay in close attendance. RANVEER (2) was first-up off a long spell at Mornington and wasn't bad when 4th, beaten 3.5 lengths. He was a noted drifter on the day, suggesting he'd need the run, and with it under the belt he can take more beating. JEWEL BAY (5) ran well first up at Caulfield Heath when beaten just a head by a handy type. He's a consistent type who will strip fitter and looks very hard to beat. MANHATTAN THUNDER (4) was a smart winner over this trip at Cranbourne two back before an even effort at Mornington. Could improve from the better gate here. LADY DI DI (6) was good in the Mornington lead up and must have claims off that.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Ranveer on top.

Moderate tempo with Derozario leading the way. TACUMWAH (2) ran an encouraging race on resumption at Mornington when 4th, beaten just two lengths over 1600m at in the Mornington Guineas. She'll strip much fitter for that and is open to plenty of improvement at just her fifth start. Top pick. FURLANETTO (4) has won her past two, too strong from on pace positions at both. Finds another logical step up and can take catching again. SEASONS IN DE SUN (8) is going well without winning. She comes back in trip for this and looks to get a good run from the inside. DEROZARIO (5) won her maiden narrowly last time and can measure up.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Tacumwah to win.
4 02:10 LockettLED.au Handicap 1300m
Doesn't look an overly strong tempo. Strong race. NOVA LIGHTS (6) relished the rise to 1400m last start and won dominantly as the $1.70 favourite at Bendigo, scoring by 6 lengths. Looks a very promising type who can go through the grades. SIMPLICITY (11) has been around the mark in two runs since a Ballarat maiden win. She wasn't beaten far last time and can get into the finish. SOMEBODYTOLOVE (10) resumes having shown very good promise in her debut campaign, winning well at Bendigo before a spell. Looks capable of measuring right up. SPIRIT OF NURAI (5) showed promise in her debut campaign and a good run is on the cards.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Nova Lights to win again.
5 02:45 Sportsbet Set A Deposit Limit Handicap 1300m
Plenty of early pace from Rackemann primarily. NOBLE CONQUEROR (8) doesn't boast the best strike rate but looks well placed in this. Three runs last preparation in Sydney were good against quality opposition, running third behind two sharp sprinters at Rosehill before a spell. He's won a jump out leading in and D Lane takes the ride. GALLANT PRINCE (4) went to the paddock a maiden winner and resumed with an easy victory at this level at Pakenham. No reason he can't go on with the job here. SCORCH (10) has run second in both runs back from a spell and a win looks close. The form around him is strong for this. VOMO ISLAND (14) can run well.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Noble Conqueror to win.
6 03:20 Tile Importer Handicap 1000m
Solid tempo likely from the outset with a number of speedy beginners engaged, most notably Grand Larceny and Scorsese. BONNIE AMORE (9) is close to another win, beaten under a length at Caulfield Heath last time out by a handy filly. Has found a suitable race here post-scratchings. Should be hard to hold out here. RUSSIAN BOBSHARK (6) was far too good on debut after starting $1.60 at Cranbourne. More depth here but looks smart. MANTUA (11) should be ready to peak third up and should prove hard to beat. GRAND LARCENY (7) resumes having won his maiden at Newcastle before a spell. Profiles well for this and should take plenty of catching.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Bonnie Amore on top.
7 03:55 Stow Storage Solutions Handicap 2400m
Inthelapofthegods to bowl along in front and control the race. UPWOODS (12) continues to race well and another win could be on the cards. He's usually in the market and runs well without winning but taking a line behind Samuel Longhorne two back when beaten a nose, he looks well placed in this field. PRISMATIC (1) has been 6th and 4th to Samuel at his past two starts but does drop in grade for this and maps for a good run. ROARING ENGINE (2) dropped out at Bendigo last time having run very well in the G2 Adelaide Cup prior. A return to that sort of form will go close here. NISHINO CRESCENT (4) also struggled at Bendigo but had been coming along well prior. Give another chance. VERIFIER (6) next best.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Upwoods on top.
8 04:30 Sportsbet Bet With Mates Handicap 1500m
Off the low draw Ceasar is likely to find the lead at a slick tempo. THE BIG HEIST (4) is a lightly raced 5yo who has now won his past three, with spells in between each. He's clearly had issues but was too strong first-up off a very long spell at Pakenham and might be able to string some runs together now. JUCCONI (1) is coming off a narrow win at Caulfield in this grade. He's a handy type who won't find this any harder and should get a good run midfield. Strong chance again. ANGRY SKIES (3) has had two runs back from a spell and should be ready to peak now. Out to 1500m looks ideal. AIMING (9) continues to race well and has each-way claims again while TYPHOON HARMONY (2) broke through at Morphettville last time and could go on with it here.  SUGGESTED PLAY: The Big Heist to win.
