1	06:40	COCHRANE HANDICAP 1200m MY INTELLIGENT (1) had been in the market and running well in tougher grade his past few and now drops back into C5 where he was narrowly beaten here just four starts ago. Zac Purton rides today and he has the speed to get across from out wide. Can get the job done back in grade. VAMOS (12) comes into this first-up and the booking of Bowman shows the stable's intentions. He strikes at 17% when riding for Hall, and although the gelding is still a maiden, everything points to a bold showing. HERO STAR (6) has been left behind his past couple, but comes through a strong race over 1000m here most recently. Now out to 1200m again which looks to suit. Can play a major role. DOUBLE SHOW (10) is better than he showed last time out and can bounce back from an inside alley.
2	07:10	WYNDHAM HANDICAP 1200m CHATEAUNEUF (1) ran on strongly down the Sha Tin straight last time out and comes to Happy Valley for the first time. He did win a trial at this course prior to his debut. Purton may need some luck from the outside alley, but the extra 200m will suit and he looks to have found a suitable race. COLONEL (11) has gone under his past few, but has led the field up and ran good figures in the process. He remains right down in the weights and should be able to find the front from a handy draw. Will take plenty of beating if he gets it all his own way. LEAN MASTER (8) is hard to knock on recent performances and gets some weight relief today with Ellis Wong in the saddle. Won't have to work as hard as he has done his past couple to find a spot and he can put his best foot forward. NEW POWER (12) is ticking along nicely and is not to be discounted.
3	07:40	D'AGUILAR HANDICAP 1650m BEAU GOSSE (1) has been right around the finish for much of this campaign, only going under by 0.5L as favourite last time out. The wide draw is a niggle, though Bowman remains in the saddle and if he gets some luck in running, he'll be hard to hold out. SMART BEAUTY (7) ran on well from beyond midfield over this track and trip 21 days ago. Purton remains in the saddle although they have drawn wider this time. That shouldn't be an issue with his racing pattern though and his best is good enough to be winning. CHARMING STEED (3) bolted in over this trip on the All Weather surface, scoring by 2.5L as favourite. Drawn ideally again today and if he runs up to what he did last start, he'll take plenty of holding out. MEDIC ELITE (2) comes through the same race as Smart Beauty where they hit the line together. Nicely drawn and has to be included.
4	08:10	WYNDHAM HANDICAP 1200m DAN ATTACK (10) jumped favourite and bumped into a good race two back before being just fair at this track and trip last time out. Promising the world and delivering an Atlas of late, but this looks a perfect race for him. He'd just have to run up to his recent performances to be getting the job done. DENFIELD (1) drops back into C4 today and has been back to the trials since his latest effort 56 days ago. The winkers come off and he should appreciate dropping into an easier grade. Maps for a nice run and can bounce back in a big way. VALHALLA (11) was strong here two back before a solid run from the rear on the All-Weather track most recently. The draw is a query, but Ho hops on board and he's sure to go close getting back onto the turf. VANTASTIC CHOICE (4) is better than he showed last time out and is not to be discounted.
5	08:40	THE SPORTS CLUB DIAMOND JUBILEE CHALLENGE CUP (HANDICAP) 1200m TELECOM SPEED (2) stuck on well over this course and distance last time out after crossing from a wide draw. He gets a softer barrier this time and Teetan replaces the apprentice hoop. Can be prominent from the outset and looks set to capitalise on his recent efforts. RIGHTEOUS ARION (1) ran home strongly from midfield to end up just 1.3L off the winner last time out. He's likely to get back from the draw, but Bowman remains in the saddle and he's expected to be storming home. SEA SAPPHIRE (6) couldn't sustain the run after leading them throughout at Sha Tin last time out. He is o/4 at this course, but he maps for a nice run from an inside alley and he's run some good ratings despite not winning. Should be right in the thick of the finish. ERNEST FEELING (3) can mix his form but did win a trial coming into this. Right in the mix on his best form.
6	09:10	GLENEALY HANDICAP 1800m MR ALADDIN (8) got a long way back last start and never really featured, finishing 4L off the winner. He's been back to the trials since where Purton was on board and he remains in the saddle today. Better than what he showed last start and he's the one to beat if he gets back to his prior form. KYRUS UNICORN (10) rattled home from a long way back last time out and steps out to the 1800m journey yet again. He maps for a much better run this time around and the form out of his last start has already been franked. Racing well and now gets his chance to salute. FLYING SILVER (6) got the job done over this course and distance last time out, winning by 0.8L. He's won 4/9 at this course and distance previously and Chung takes some weight off again. Won't be far away. PEGASUS GENERAL (3) can bounce back stepping out in trip after a disappointing effort last time out.
7	09:45	GRAHAM HANDICAP 1650m ZOOM BOOM (3) sprinted away to win impressively over this track and trip 21 days ago, He's found a home over the Valley's 1650m course and while he does rise in weight, he brained them last start when racing without cover. Just has to repeat that effort to be winning again. RED HARE KING (2) was chasing hard when favourite in the race Zoom Boom won, but he was no match for the winner there. He does meet the top pick better at the weights today and he maps for a dream run off the inside. Can turn the tables without surprising. HAMERON (1) has been running on strongly his past couple, beaten just 1.3L when getting well back last time out. Bowman remains in the saddle and he may be able to settle closer from a slightly better gate this time. Winning hope if he runs up to his recent efforts. GIDDY UP (4) comes through the same race as Zoom Boom and should appreciate a much better gate today. Include.
8	10:15	ON LAN HANDICAP 1650m CAN'T GO WONG (6) just missed over this course and distance last time out when a $2.90 favourite. That continued a run of strong form for the gelding who is never far away. Maps for a beautiful run once again and if he runs up to his latest effort, he can be getting the job done this time. ATOMIC BEAUTY (10) was 2.3L off the winner last time out when a $3.60 chance back on April 10 and is a winner over this course and distance previously. Avdulla remains in the saddle and if he'd be right in the finish if he can get back to his best figures. SIXTH GENERATION (1) gets the winkers back on again after running home well for second behind a dominant winner last time out at Sha Tin. He's a three-time track and trip winner and Ho sticking is a positive sign. Won't be far away. THE KHAN (9) is an improving galloper who can take the next step now out in trip. Must be included.
9	10:50	SHELLEY HANDICAP 1200m SUPER JOY N FUN (8) made an impression in his debut campaign and comes into this off a 70-day break. He's had two trials since his opening stanza and now Zac Purton takes the ride on the progressive gelding. Looks to have plenty of ability and he can keep the unbeaten streak alive. SPORTS LEGEND (2) bolted in two back before another strong win over this course and distance last time out. Angus Chung hops back in the saddle this time and he'll be able to sit on the pace with ease from the inside alley. They look to have found the key with him, it's just a case of how long the trick works for. WINGS OF WAR (4) was beaten 1.8L last time out when favourite over this course and distance and is now 963 days between wins. He is knocking on the door though and he should get a nice run just off the speed. Can land the knockout blow late in the race. HUMBLE STAR (1) is better than what he showed first-up and back to this grade suits. Include.
