He would have come on from the run and should strip much fitter. With a bit of luck in the running after jumping from the widest draw he should prove hard to beat. UNITED NATION (8) resumes from a spell and should have strengthened up during the break. Richard Fourie is in the saddle and fresh-up rates well. LAVA BURST (5) stayed on well when fourth on debut over this distance on the turf. He would have come on from the run and he should make the natural improvement needed. Has each-way claims. NOTABLE (2) did little and finishing eighth over 1000m at Scottsville last start, a less impressive effort than his fifth on debut at Scottsville the run before. Will enjoy a drop in class and is in the mix.

PILOT FLAME (1) is lightly raced with good form lines to her credit. She should have finished closer to the winner last time as she hung outwards from the 300m mark. She is a progressive type and if suited to the polytrack, she can go one place better. MOTHER INDIA (8) showed speed when finishing third of 11 on debut over 1200m at Scottsville last start. She would have gained from the experience and if seeing out the extra distance on offer should prove hard to beat. NAUTICAL LANDING (2) showed good improvement on her debut run when finishing second in her last start over 1600m on this course. She set the pace, fought hard but found one too good on the day. The drop to 1400m should suit her well and she rates well as one of the leading chances. DEE DAY (5) set the pace over this course and distance last time but found one too good on the day. She jumps from a handy draw and should be fighting out the finish.

MISTER NIBBLES (3) should have finished closer to the winner over 1400m last time as he had to be steadied at the 200m mark. He should like the rise to 1600m. He jumps from a good draw of three and if suited to the polytrack should prove hard to roll. RAINWATER (5) showed good improvement on his debut run when finishing fourth of nine in his last start over 1400m on this course. He tries the blinkers which should keep his mind on the task at hand. He is a progressive type and can finish in the placings. BREATH OF MAGIC (9) has placed in nine of 25 starts but failed to add to the tally last time out when seventh over 1450m at Turffontein Inside. Has a good record at this distance with three top-three results from five starts. Include in exotic bets. CODE OF CONDUCT (7) finished sixth over 1400m at Scottsville last start and over a longer trip today can fall into a place at long odds.

OH SO SQUISHY (6) was her own worst enemy over 1600m last time as she over raced in the early stages. However, the manner in which she stayed on at the finish that day to run third was encouraging. Richard Fourie retains the ride and if he is able to switch her off early, she can return to winning form. IDEAL GIFT (10) was given a gun ride when winning her last start by a nose over 1750m at Scottsville when sent out as the favourite. It must be noted that the horse that finished second that day has come out and won since. Two of her three career victories have come on this course and she merits healthy respect. SUMMER SONG (7) resumes from a spell after having won over 1600m at Greyville All Weather last start. Rates highly and fresh-up is likely to be prominent. ENGLISH PRIMROSE (8) has switched yards since finishing fifth last start over 1400m at Greyville All Weather. Rates well on her best efforts.

ROYAL AUSSIE (1) won a good race in his last start over 1600m at Kenilworth when sent out as the favourite and was then put out for a spell. He has won three times and finished third twice from six starts over this distance. He jumps from pole position and rates highly. COUSIN CASEY (2) has won twice and finished second once from as many starts over this course and distance. He has drawn an inside gate and can find a form return. GLADATORIAN (6) is a winner of his last two starts, the latest of which was over 1200m on this course. He has won once and finished second once from as many starts over this distance. He is in a good space and has to be considered. GIMMEANOTHERCHANCE (8) ran a good race when second last time out in what was a strong field. He has won once and finished second twice from as many starts over this course and distance. He takes on older rivals and with luck in the running can finish in the money.

RASCOVA (4) is racing well and is close to a win having placed in all of her three last start runs her last, the latest effort a solid third of eight at this track. She is likely to race up on the speed and should be hard to peg back. WHITE PEARL (2) was running on well when finishing third of seven last time out over 1160m when well supported. Jumping from an inside gate has solid each-way claims. LET'S GO NOW (1) is a talented filly who was well held last time out in a strong event over 2450m at Turffontein Standside. Has a good record at this journey with two wins and two placings from six starts and jumping from a good draw should be returning to form.

SANDRINGHAM SUMMIT (2) produced a strong finish when winning as the odds-on favourite last time over 1400m. It must be noted that the horse that finished second that day has come out and won since. GREEN WITH ENVY (3) was impressive when winning his last start over 2000m at Kenilworth as the favourite and was then put out for a spell. Fresh-up and jumping from an inside gate should prove hard to beat. He won fresh-up last prep. SNOW PILOT (4) will appreciate the longer trip today after finishing fourth when resuming from a spell last start over 1400m at this track. Likely to push forward and race up on the pace. Racing in a fitter state should be involved in the finish. HLUHLUWE (1) resumes from a spell and having \won fresh-up previously is well worth considering. Include in exotic bets.

He has won three times, finished second once and third twice from ten starts over this course and distance. Looks well placed here to go one better. PHAKA IMALI (3) was safely held when third last time out over 1200m at Greyville All Weather when sent out as the favourite. He jumps from an inside gate and with Richard Fourie in the saddle looks hard to beat. STEVIE GEE (8) won well over 1200m at Greyville All Weather last start when well supported. Now that he has found winning form can repeat the dose. BENNI IN THE AREA (7) turned in a decent effort last start to finish third of 11 over 1200m at Greyville All Weather in what was his second run this prep. Racing in a fitter state has top-three claims.

VOLDEMORT (4) dead heated when winning his last start over this distance at Scottsville. He is in a good space and jumping from a handy gate follow up. TIME TOGETHER (6) closed last prep with back-to-back placings, the last of which was at Greyville All Weather 1400m when well supported. Has good early speed so should take up a forward position and fresh-up should be finishing in the money. TURBO POWER (8) hails from the visiting Sean Tarry stable. He was sent out as the favourite last start and should have finished closer than sixth of 12 as he received a check at the 200m mark. He won his only attempt on this course and looks hard to beat. ROSH KEDESH (9) resumes from a spell. Wasn't that far away last start when finishing sixth of 11 over 1600m at Kenilworth. Has ability and should be figuring in the finish.

MIDNIGHT CALLER (4) set the pace over this distance on the turf here last time and fought on strongly to score a game victory. Four of his five career victories have come over this distance. He meets similar company and with a 4kg claiming apprentice in the saddle can follow up. ARIVIDICIO (3) showed good improvement in his last start over 1450m on the Turffontein Inside course when finishing third of eight. He takes a slight drop in class and rates well as an each-way chance. WINTER WAVES (9) looks close to a win following a last start third of seven over 1400m at this track. Has the speed needed to overcome his wide draw and is well worth considering. RELEASE ME (6) missed the placings two runs back then didn't feature last start when finishing seventh of 12 over 1600m at Scottsville. This is a nice drop in grade and he looks well placed in this line-up to return to form.

LITTLEBLACKVELVET (5) is a distance specialist who improved sharply on her fourth two starts back at Greyville All Weather to score a victory over 1400m at Greyville All Weather last start when sent out at long odds. She jumps from a handy draw and has solid each-way claims. GLOBAL SECRET (7) in what was her second run this prep finished fourth of seven last start over 1400m at Greyville All Weather as the favourite. Has recorded a win and two placings from five starts at this track and distance. Racing in a fitter state should be returning to form.
