NUM TIME COMMENT
1 05:10 LAWRENCE & HANSON BENCHMARK 70 Handicap 1300m
The speedy Fun Sponge should find the front with Alfa Lily and Mill Rossa on his heels. SPOOKY SPIRIT (6) won this grade first-up comfortably before blitzing the 70 graders by 4.3L over 1200m. Fitter again and can go right on with it. FUN SPONGE (7) is also third-up and ready to win. Posted a strong figure in the CL4 and will be better for it. He should have the speed to manage the awkward gate. They've elected not to claim so he has to carry 4kg more back in grade. START STRUTTING (8) got back and didn't do a bad job at Eagle Farm and missed a whisker in a 78 at Ipswich prior. Peaks now but risking getting strung up from the rails gate. PREPOTENT (5) has been kept on the fresh side and he's in the mix.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Sticking with Spooky Spirit.
2 05:50 GOLLAN RACING PRESENTS THE DARRYL GOLLAN MEMORIAL QTIS Two-Year-Old Maiden Handicap 1200m
Boomtown Boss has good early speed and can negate the outside draw. BOOMTOWN BOSS (1) won a trial and raced favourite in an Open 2 at Eagle Farm on debut and ran out of puff late. Fitter now and he will keep improving for the premier barn. Has an awkward gate but with average luck can make amends. FOOLSAY (2) went close here third-up and keeps improving. Draws low today and has been kept on the fresh side. A chance. PROPOSE (12) has been around the mark and will be fitter. Has been giving way starts and that's a niggle. MISHANI EXPRESS (7) has the ability and didn't handle the poly surface last time. His firm prior to the go at Listed level stacks up. Keep onside.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Backingv Boomtown Boss.
3 06:30 SUBZERO AIRCONDITIONING BENCHMARK 65 Handicap 1050m
Machine Head should lead at a strong gallop. UPSTART LEGEND (6) won the CL3 and then wasn't too far away in the CL4. Fitter again and this is much easier. The blinkers go on again and she should have the early speed to manage the wide barrier. Go close. MACHINE HEAD (9) led and won the 60 by a whopping 7.5L on a heavy track. The form prior on better surfaces stacks up and he has the handy 2kg claim. Decent claims. FIGHTING IDOL (5) also resumes and is a fresh winner who has trialled well. Keep him onside.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Going with Upstart Legend.
4 07:10 ENTERPRISE LEGAL BENCHMARK 58 Handicap 2000m
The pace looks even at best without a noted on-pacer engaged. SHE DELIVERS (8) sat behind the leaders and was too good for the Maidens here 2 weeks ago over a mile. Has the rail and will keep improving for the top metro barn. Can take the next step. SEERESS (7) won easily this trip on the poly and then was plainer there back to the mile. This should suit better and he has a 3kg claim and maps for a soft run. Back on the turf won't bother. JUBILANT (9) stepped up to the mile at Ipswich and was narrowly beaten. Gets in well with a 3kg claim but a sticky barrier needs managing. COME ON EILEEN (4) finds easier with a 2kg claim.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Sticking with She Delivers.
5 07:45 QUEST TOOWOOMBA APARTMENT HOTEL QTIS Three-Year-Old Maiden Handicap 1200m
Despite the wide draw Letters Of Romance should cross and set a genuine tempo. Tricky. GREY IMPACT (5) trialled well at Doomben and then found one better there on debut. Has an outside barrier to contend with but fitter can go close with average luck. JAMAICAN MECRAZY (7) also draws out but is an improver from the premier stable. The longer trip will suit her. OUR BLING (9) just missed at the Sunshine Coast making good improvement. Has a handy gate and 2kg claim and the 1200m should suit. VITTHAL (3) just missed over 1000m here surprising the market. The speedy galloper didn't see it out over 1200m prior but fitter is worth another chance.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Leaning to Grey Impact.
6 08:15 MORT & CO Maiden Handicap 1300m
Expecting a strong gallop with Fleur De Vie taking up the running over Expedient Choice. Tough. MAKE HASTE (12) peaks for the Nolen yard and did a big job beaten 3.5L at Ipswich. She looks to have turned the corner and can sit handier today. Sits down in the weights and hits this at peak. INTRECCIATO (9) found one better here also making good improvement. Fit and a chance to go one better. GO GIRL GO (8) switched to the premier barn and missed the jump badly here first up. Has an awkward barrier but quick improvement won't surprise. QUEEN OF DARK (11) did about what expected at the Sunshine Coast but went well here prior and the blinkers are first-time applied. In a strong metro yard and can go better.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Leaning to Make Haste each way.
7 08:45 RACING NATION ON POWER FM Maiden Plate 1000m
Pace genuine. FIELD OF MARS (2) also deserves to break through and the blinkers go on again. Maps for the run of the race and keeps the handy 3kg claim. A threat. CHOCKABLOCK (7) resumes and has switched from a Victorian yard. Has placed 2/2 fresh Brings a big trial win and positions forward. Keep very safe. ALL I WANT IS YOU (1) has been off the scene for a while but his debut effort three back pointed to him having the ability. Needs a good ride but has had a trial warmer and the 2kg claim benefits. A betting watch as well.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Leaning to Field Of Mars.
8 09:22 NEIL MANSELL CONCRETE Maiden Plate 1625m
No obvious leader in a race that lacks much early pressure on paper. SKIEDA (12) was only beaten 2L at Doomben building on a solid debut. That's good form and she will be better for it. Will go close with average luck. MAN TALK (11) was narrowly beaten here over this trip as favourite. Peaks now and the winkers go on. Can go one better. ALIGN THE PLANETS (1) has been off his peaks but tries hard and will find this easier than the Sunshine Coast. In the mix. DREAM PASSAGE (6) is in the top metro barn and will find this more manageable than Doomben her last two. Has a wide gate but no surprise if she shows more. CONTRICK (10) is in the mix.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Leaning to Skieda.
