Breaking Dawn, Woodsman and Hushed all work forward and can go about setting a solid tempo. SAINT EMILION drops back in grade after a midfield effort in the Herbie Dyke Stakes. Should thrive back to this level second run from a freshen up. CRUISER placed in the Taranaki Cup last start. Has been holding his form well and appeals in this line up. There is a 7kg spread from the top down top the bottom in this Listed event. There is a profusion of pace and pressure so could be a brawl from barrier rise. SAINT EMILION likes to lead or sit close and is used to carrying big weights. May try to win this near the home turn and surge. FARM BOY is a dual G1 placegetter and a G2 winner. Will not know himself at 55kg. Last time he carried this weight was second beaten a head at G3. FANATIC drops a hefty 4kg in this after a last start fourth at G3 into this Listed event staggeringly. Trojan Warrior is G1 placed. Bit hit and miss this season but has to be included at 56kg. Von Tunzelman a run on type so will relish the expected solid clip. Gentil Tonton is lethal when second up. SUGGESTED PLAY: Class can prevail. Back Saint Emilion straight out.
