A solid tempo anticipated with Sergeant Mavers ahead of Dream Storm and Affluential. Not a race to be getting carried away with, a maiden over 2520m. AFFLUENTIAL (1) is a younger brother of Verry Elleegant and finally got on the board winning over jumps at Pakenham. Prior flat form in maiden grade had been sound. Let's hope he has taken confidence from that hurdle victory. TOPSPIN (8) has only been sighted on the two occasions and has performed fairly. Looks open to further improvement and cannot be dismissed. SAKURA MAGIC (9) hasn't set the world on fire to date and what she has shown is wanting ground. She gets that here. Don't discard. CARACORON (5) was placed at Stony Creek three runs back and two subsequent efforts have been sound. Worth including in the hopes. SUGGESTED PLAY: Back Affluential and Topspin to win.
