Hot tempo expected with Transact, Tuscan Gold and Euphoric heading the charge. NOTORIX (7) stayed on well when finishing fourth of 12 in his last start over 1000m on this course. He has won twice and finished second once from nine starts over this course and distance. Denis Schwarz is booked to ride and he may be able to coax that little bit extra out of him when it matters most. ON THE ROAD AGAIN (8) is better than his last start run would suggest as he raced wide around the turn and faded badly in the straight. Richard Fourie steps back into the saddle and on previous form, he should be figuring in the finish. TUSCAN GOLD (3) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 1000m at this track. Jumping from the inside gate is a likely improver with strong each-way prospects. EUPHORIC (4) was beaten 5 lengths into eighth over 1900m at this track two-and-a-half weeks ago. Has his share of talent and is a top-three prospect.
