Good early pace headed by Brier, Zena Boy and Auriel, with Bangholme and Jessup in their slipstream. BANGHOLME (2) dropped back in class and immediately found some form last time out at Yarra Valley when finishing second as favourite, despite racing greenly in the run home. The extra furlong is ideal for his peak run and he can settle right on the early pace from another perfect inside draw. He can go one better here. EXPLOSIVE THINKER (1) has not had everything go his way since winning at Moonee Valley last December but he has been facing tougher fields than this. He gets his chance to redeem himself here. Each way value. A HIDDEN TREASURE (8) won as expected on debut at Moe by half a length before a fair effort next time out at Moonee Valley 3 weeks ago. She is a promising filly who can bounce back into the money here. JESSUP (6) fought on bravely when finally breaking his maiden status at Yarra Valley 12 days ago. His confidence is up and with the benefit of a 3-kilo claim, he carries 2 kilos less in weight this time. He will continue to improve with racing and can win again.
