Speed should be right on over the 1100m journey. BUFFALO STORM CODY (1) was impressive when winning on debut over 1000m on the Inside course last start when sent out as the favourite. Despite getting away to an awkward start, he showed pace and won with plenty left in the tank. Can keep his unbeaten record intact. WINDS OF CHANGE (6) has finished second in all three efforts to date. He moved up like a winner last time, but was outrun late. He is a progressive type and is one of the leading contenders. CHIEFTAIN (2) showed good speed when winning his maiden at the second time of asking over 1000m at Scottsville. He takes on much stronger rivals but is a progressive type and may be hard to peg back. PROCEED (5) ran a fair race last start when finishing fourth of eight. The manner in which he stayed on at the finish was encouraging and he can finish in the money.
