BAJIGAKU KALMIA (4) has been racing in great heart with eight top-three finishes on end, the latest a second over 1400m at this track. Won't need to improve much to be winning this. Top pick. KALAUNU (9) is a 10-start maiden who is knocking on the door after a narrow defeat last start over 1500m at Urawa after being prominent at the turn. Ideally placed to shed the maiden tag. HARMONY JOEY (1) finished 8 lengths behind the winner in fourth over 1200m at Funabashi last start after lifting strongly to score two runs back. Drawn to enjoy a nice run just off the lead. One to consider. BENINO ANGEL (6) has progressed nicely in her last couple of runs. Finished second at this track two starts back then got the job done by half a length last time out over 1500m at Urawa. Can measure up again.
