COCHRANE HANDICAP 1200m

Track: GOOD      

Expecting Hero Star to find the lead but there will be plenty of pressure over the sprint course. MY INTELLIGENT (1) had been in the market and running well in tougher grade his past few and now drops back into C5 where he was narrowly beaten here just four starts ago. Zac Purton rides today and he has the speed to get across from out wide. Can get the job done back in grade. VAMOS (12) comes into this first-up and the booking of Bowman shows the stable's intentions. He strikes at 17% when riding for Hall, and although the gelding is still a maiden, everything points to a bold showing. HERO STAR (6) has been left behind his past couple, but comes through a strong race over 1000m here most recently. Now out to 1200m again which looks to suit. Can play a major role. DOUBLE SHOW (10) is better than he showed last time out and can bounce back from an inside alley.
