CAP (2) started at $2.30 last time and ran below expectations, finishing fifth and beaten 5 lengths at Urawa over 1400m. Has a good record at this course and distance, including three wins. Worth noting Hiroki Okamura goes aboard. This doesn't look as hard so he is set to turn things around. CLONIUS (6) returns from a break of four-and-a-half months. Consistent performer last prep whose most recent appearance resulted in a win over 1400m at this track. Nicely placed to kick off another successful campaign. DERMA NYMPH (5) returns from a layoff of seven months. Worth noting she filled a minor placing when returning from a spell last prep over 1500m at this track. Has to be respected. T K MATE (8) was below her best last time, finishing sixth and beaten 7 lengths over 1400m at Urawa. Finds a nice race and can atone.
