ESMERAUDE ECLAT (10) looks close to a win, finishing in the placings at his last couple of runs including a second most recently over 1400m at this track when beaten one length. Great chance to break through. MACCABAEUS (7) recorded another minor placing last time out, finishing 4.5 lengths away in third over 1400m at this track when he was prominent throughout. Facing a tougher assignment but he is good enough to figure in the finish. CORVINA (5) was safely held when sixth last time out over 1400m at Morioka Dirt, beaten 5.5 lengths. That followed a win at Morioka Dirt at the previous outing. Has the ability to take care of this field. DIFFUSE (2) again failed to feature last start, finishing 14th and beaten 16 lengths over 1800m at Niigata. One of the main hopes in this easier race.
