Strong tempo, primarily from Captain Van Damme and Claymore. Moderate race where XIPHOS (3) looks hard to beat. Fourth here two back first try on the surface then runner-up here last time. Overdue for a win and gets chance. SUSURRANDO (12) turned in a solid debut when fourth over 1200m and settling back and working home strongly. Looks an improver and shapes as though the extra trip is a plus. Should run well despite the draw. TWOCANTANGO (5) was thereabouts over further last time but ran well this trip the start prior. Overdue and major threat on best. CAPTAIN FRANK (2) has had a few chances but first try at the longer trip. Leading rider stays aboard which is a positive sight and can improve sharply from the low gate.
