Certain to be a strong tempo with Bastard Saffron, Ammothyella and Fee Blanche leading the charge. BEYOND THE VALLEY (12) last appeared when sixth over 1800m in the G3 Hokkaido Shimbun Hai Queen Stakes at Sapporo nine weeks ago at the only appearance of that campaign. Has good early toe so she should be handy in the run. Will play a major role. TENKA JO (7) returns from a break of three months. Consistent performer last prep whose most recent appearance resulted in a third over 1600m at Kawasaki. Has a strong fresh record including three wins. Likely to be in the finish. BASTARD SAFFRON (10) went forward when resuming last start and proved too strong, getting home by 1.5 lengths over 1800m at Hanshin Dirt. Likely to push forward from the wide draw. Finds a tougher race but this looks well within her grasp. FEE BLANCHE (11) went to the paddock after scoring at her only appearance last prep three months ago over 1600m at Kawasaki. H Yoshihara has been the pilot at her last two wins. Not to be discounted.
