Pace looks strong with Heavy Kyu pushing forward while Creed kicks up on the inside. CREED (1) wasted no time getting off the mark on debut over 1400m at this track 14 months ago and has not been produced since. Likely improver who should run well again. HEAVY KYU (7) is close to a win after a string of minor placings, the latest when third over 1800m at this track when he was always up in the leading division. Will enjoy the drop in grade so he is sure to be right there at the finish. ALLEGRINI (10) was an impressive maiden winner last time out, scoring by 1.3 lengths over 1400m at this track. Jumps from a wide draw but he looks sure to be in the mix. MAGGIE MOON (6) last appeared six-and-a-half weeks ago over 1200m at Chukyo when she finished 13th. This is her first run for the Satoshi Fukunaga stable. Can improve in this easier affair.
