Finished second at his latest appearance over 2000m at Oamaru, beaten 1.4 metres. Tactics will be crucial from this wide draw but can grab a well-deserved win. GRANNY ROSE (10) is better than his last-start eighth over 1980m at Addington. Capable of bouncing back in this easier contest. VAL THORENS (2) is worth another chance after a last-start 14th over 2400m at this track two-and-a-half weeks ago. Include from the low draw.
