Moderate tempo with Barn Zee leading the way and a few others keeping in touch. SMARTICON (4) hasn't raced since a smart win at Geelong over 1107m five-and-a-half weeks ago. Kept up to the mark with a placing in a recent trial at Caulfield Heath. Looks hard to hold out again. APPPLEBY (7) doesn't have the best strike rate but ran a strong race when resuming from a spell last time out over 1200m at Mornington, finishing third and close to the winner. Fitter again and looks a leading contender. PAPARAZZO (3) came home strongly last start to finish second, beaten a nose, over 1175m at Albury. Winning rider aboard and is long overdue after a string of placings. Rates highly back at home. GAME THEORY (15) is a veteran who has been mixing distances. Best form stacks up nicely and looks a live chance wit the light weight. ELLMAKNIFICO (11) has found the line strongly last couple and among the chances again. SUGGESTED PLAY: Sticking with Smarticon.
