In the right race and is a winning hope. ARDEST (7) registered a strong win at Monbetsu two runs ago. Fair effort last time out when prominent at the turn before finishing fifth over 1200m at Monbetsu, beaten 2.5 lengths. This looks a sterner test than last time but on his best form he is one of the chief contenders. LOVE AND HOPE (8) was safely held when fourth last time out over 1500m at this track, beaten 4.5 lengths. That followed a win at this track at the previous outing. Has a good record at this course and distance, including a win and two minor placings. Beautifully placed and is sure to prove tough to beat. CHAMPAGNE GOLD (6) is coming off a last-start fourth, beaten 8 lengths, over 1500m at this track. Hard to knock.
