MOREY'S TOURS PACE 1609m

Track: GOOD   Clouds (Max: 13)

SMOOTH REASON (8) was out of the money when resuming as a hot favourite but will be fitter for that. Draws for a nice trail with the sprint lane in play and she showed good form last time in so is worth another chance. CONISTON (3) is a progressive gelding who has won both starts of the campaign so far, taking his strike rate to 50 per cent. A favourable draw could see him take the next step and land the hat trick. SWEET DIXIE (2) has been racing well and looks close to a win after seconds in her last four outings here. Another good barrier could see her break through. PHOTO FIRST (1) didn't feature when resuming but that was off the back row. Much better served by the ace draw and with improvement likely can improve plenty.
