HORATIUS SPECULO (6) finished third two starts back at this track, then gave nothing else a chance last start to win by 17 metres over 1680m at Launceston. Needs to be at his best to beat this field, but he is good enough to play a major role. MEDINA (3) got home by 2.5 metres over 2080m at Cranbourne on debut three months ago. Real threat at his first run back. POST LAZARUS (2) is a chance after recording his maiden win last start at this track over 1609m.
