Expecting Benedict Arnold to take up the lead at a genuine tempo. SNUGG (6) reunites with Sean Cormack after scoring with ease over 1400m at this track last time. Is going well this campaign, recording a win and two minor placings from four starts and should prove tough to beat. ASSENT (1) lines up on the back of a 1.75 lengths seventh over 1350m at Ipswich as favourite. Rock-hard fit now and his best form puts him right in this. ROCK LOBSTER (13) was out of the money two runs back then again just missed the frame last start over 1200m at Gold Coast Poly, beaten 2.25 lengths into fifth. Finds a nice race and can turn things around. UPSTART LOVER (10) settled well back before making steady ground in the straight last start to finish fourth, beaten 1.3 lengths, over this course and distance. Has ability and a bold showing is expected. SUGGESTED PLAY: Siding with Snugg.
