Strong tempo from Empire State, Silver Crown and All The Rage. ALL THE RAGE (4) started this prep with a win two runs ago. Fair effort last time out when third over 1200m at this track, beaten 1.2 lengths. Yet to miss the placings in two starts over this course and distance. This doesn't look as hard so he can return to the winners' list. COGNAC (9) was a narrow winner two back at Greyville then out of the money last time when fifth at Greyville. Significant weight drop this time. Is going well this campaign, recording two wins from three starts. Leading contender. THREE TIGERS (5) is having his second run back from a break after finishing 2.5 lengths from the winner in fourth when resuming over 1200m at this track. Likely to improve with that run under the belt so he is certainly one to consider. MASTEROFTHEDESERT (6) ran below expectations last start, finishing fifth and beaten 5 lengths at this track over 1200m. Finds a nice race and can bounce back.
