Off the low draw Steel Agnes has enough speed to lead the way in the absence of a recognised leader. HELIX (7) missed the frame last start over 1400m at this track when fourth. Looks well placed so expect a big run this time. STEEL AGNES (2) is back at the races for the first time since January 11. Worth noting she filled a minor placing when returning from a spell last prep over 1000m at Monbetsu. Rates highly and is likely to be prominent. MONTER LAPIN (10) looks close to a win, finishing in the placings at his last couple of runs including a third most recently over 1400m here. Among the chances again. SUPER AZULADA (1) has three placings from nine runs this preparation and finished 5.5 lengths off the winner last start at this track, not the worst.
