Elixir has good early speed and can set a decent tempo. ELIXIR (7) gave a sight here last time, leading until late before finishing fourth over 1400m. Has a decent record at this track and should run well. DAICHINO MEGUMI (1) was well in commission last time but ran below expectations when fourth over 1600m at this track. Best form puts her right tin this. MORIDEN BOY (8) missed the frame last start over 1400m at this track, beaten 3.5 lengths into fourth. Stepping up a level this time but on his best form he is capable of testing his rivals. UP FELIZ (3) had been racing well with two consecutive placings before last start managing only fifth over 1400m at this track. Makoto Okabe who has two wins when partnering stays on. Deserves respect.
