Anticipating good pressure with many of these lining up for the first time. MELO (9) finished a gutsy third fresh up at Wingatui and then had excuses when being a beaten favourite here 4 weeks ago. She has a good draw and can make amends. On top for us, so follow your money. MARIA PILAR (5) is heading the right way with her form and does appear to have some upside. She was only beaten by a head last time out at Cromwell, and she can go one better, even from her wide draw. RISK MITIGATION (8) may have found the step up to 1400m a touch too far at this stage of her career and only battled over the final stages at Cromwell 3 weeks ago. She is worth another chance with the return to 1200m. GOLDEN SPIRIT (12) will be making her debut with the advantage of a 3kg claim. She hails from the right stable, and any market confidence must be respected. TIME FOR TRIX (7) has been given time to mature. Watch closely on debut. ASSEMBLE (10) is not out of this. SUGGESTED PLAY: Melo can win this.
