Moderate pace with Cold Train rolling to the lead and setting the tempo. SQUANDER (11) found the line nicely to grab second last time out over 2200m at Ararat, making back-to-back minor finishes. Peaking now and should settle much closer to the action this time from the inside alley. Ready to win again. CUT NO ICE (8) hit the frame two starts ago at Gawler but ran below par last time at Ararat after being in the firing line on the bend. Well placed and there is no reason she cannot find winning ways. NORMIE NO SHOW (3) finished fourth last time out over 2000m at Murray Bridge. Rates well in this line up and is capable of playing a big role. COLD TRAIN (7) battled away soundly into a midfield finish when resuming at Bordertown. Better for the hitout and is among the chances. SUGGESTED PLAY: Squander gets the nod.
