The trio Shonan Magma, Cosmo Buddleja and Be Astonished will set a strong tempo. CONTRAPPOSTO (7) is resuming in easier grade. Just missed when last resuming and has a good record while fresh. Very well placed this class and expected to go close. SCHILTHORN (13) is yet to fill a placing in two runs since resuming from a spell, the latest when tenth over 1800m in stakes class at Kyoto. Should be peaking now and going better than form suggests. One of the main hopes. GRAN DIA (1) is back from a break of six months. Loves the course and distance and drawn for a soft run. Expected to run well. MEINER MEMORY (10) did a little better last start at the second run of the campaign, finishing fifth over 2000m in stakes class at Kyoto. Well placed in this easier race. Solid claims on his best form.
