Good pace with Lombardo City, Rock Band and Whelm prominent. MAD GALE (11) recorded another minor placing last time out, finishing 3.5 lengths away in second over 1800m at Niigata Dirt when he was always up in the leading division. Placed all four starts to date so long overdue. Well placed to take this out. WHELM (4) missed the placings on debut two runs back then didn't feature last start when 5 lengths away in fifth over 2000m at Hanshin after being in contention on the bend. Has pace and off the low draw expected to give a sight. Sure to go well. ROCK BAND (14) made an encouraging debut last time out, finishing 4.5 lengths from the winner in fourth over 1700m at Fukushima Dirt. Has ability and must be respected. NOW OR NEVER (12) made progress last time out, finishing 5 lengths from the winner in third over 1800m at Kyoto Dirt. Nicely placed to feature in the finish.
