GRAND NAVIRE (14) comes here off a sound second in a maiden steeplechase (2880m) at this track. That followed another second in a chase here the start prior. Has placed 3/5 course and distance and overdue for a jumps win. BLANC FORTE (10) returns from a short break. Turned in a better effort at the last run before the spell when second in a maiden steeplechase (2860m) at Kokura, beaten a neck. Strong contender if runs to latest figure. A BATTUTA (9) has been out of the money in two starts this prep, both over the jumps. Finished fifth when fresh from a spell then was beaten a long way most recently in a maiden chase at Chukyo. Better than last run and rates strongly this line-up. Sharp improver. NISHINO BLAZEST (12) was making his jumps debut last start when fresh from a spell. Could only manage 11th on that occasion, beaten 29 lengths, in a maiden steeplechase (2850m) at Niigata. Sure to improve. |

TOSEN LOURDES (13) had been racing okay but she was safely held last time out when sixth over 1200m at Sapporo. Will be handy despite the tricky draw. Likely to feature. BUTTERFLY (8) missed the frame on debut then improved last time when 3 lengths away in second over 1500m at Sapporo. Top chance this line-up. SPECIAL THANKS (4) is yet to break through in three runs. Finished fourth after being in contention on the turn at her last appearance over 1200m at this track on September 6. Among the chances in what looks a nice race for her. SHIJIMA (7) faced the starter for the first time and finished sixth last start at Niigata over 1200m, beaten 5.5 lengths. Will be better for that run and is expected to go well. |

Maiden Race 1200m
DONA BIG BEN (5) is a progressive filly resuming today after two runs in her maiden campaign, the latest effort a second over 1150m at Fukushima Dirt on July 19. Much improved on the dirt at second outing. Expected to go close fresh. GYMNASION (8) did okay on debut last start when fifth over 1200m at this track. Made good late ground and can go on with it. BEAR AMICI (6) showed ability in two runs in her maiden campaign, finishing fourth over 1200m at Fukushima on June 28 before a break. Progressive and expected to measure up. SUWITTO (7) resumes after a break of nine weeks. Nice run on debut then failed to threaten when fifth over 1150m at Fukushima Dirt at the last outing prior to a spell. Has plenty going for him and is sure to prove hard to beat. |

COUCHER DE SOLEIL (6) was prominent in running on debut three-and-a-half months ago and battled on well for third over 1600m at Tokyo. Has not been produced since. Likely improver and should be in the finish again. CAPITAL STONE (4) wasn't far away in two runs during his maiden prep, the latest a second over 1800m at Fukushima ten weeks ago. Re-unites with Takuya Ono and can break though here fresh. ANIENE (3) is a two-start maiden who was unplaced on debut then improved to finish second last time over 1800m at Niigata, beaten 1.3 lengths. Will drift back but wind up late. Not beaten far both runs and looks a leading chance. DONNA LEE (7) has not appeared since she finished second on debut over 1800m at Fukushima on July 18. Led and run down on debut. Sure to give a sight fresh. |

BE HAPPY DAY (1) is on debut for the Yuichiro Nishida stable. Two-year-old filly by Saturnalia from Lily Spain. Should get all the favours out of an inside gate. Bold showing expected. NIGHT OF MIRTH (6) is a two-year-old filly facing the starter for the first time. Out of Group 1 winner Mirth. Is one of the main hopes. Has started two times at this course and distance and is yet to miss the placings. Has the class to figure prominently. NAC SPLENDOR (13) is back after a break of six months. Will enjoy a drop in class so he is a major player. SAFFRON ROUGE (15) is fitter for two runs back from a spell, progressing nicely last time to finish fifth, beaten 2.5 lengths, at Niigata over 2200m. Can continue the good form. |

WUNDERBAR (14) returns after a spell of 11 weeks. Started the last campaign in good style when in the placings over 1600m at Tokyo Dirt. Yet to win first up but generally runs well with three minor placings from three tries. Tough gate but has good early speed and expected to take running down. FEEL AWESOME (6) was prominent from the outset when second over 1800m at Niigata Dirt last time out. Form here at this trip is sound. Drawn to enjoy a good run on the speed. Best form puts her right in this. PERSUADE (3) is a genuine four-year-old filly who resumed with a solid second last time out at Niigata Dirt over 1800m. Among the leading chances. LOISTAA (11) was safely held when resuming last start over 1800m at Chukyo Dirt, finishing 12th and beaten 14 lengths. Settles back early but winds up late. Solid claims on best form. |

ARDE TOP GUN (9) finished third last start at the first run back from a spell over 1500m at Sapporo when he worked home well, beaten 3 lengths. Placed to advantage and can run a bold race. SEVEN MEISTER (6) returned from a spell four weeks ago when he was beaten 3.5 lengths into tenth over 1600m at Chukyo. Well off best fresh but fitter and well worth another try. |

D'S GOLD (3) is an honest type resuming. Was too good as favourite last tun before a break. Goes well course and distance and drawn to go close. REFLEX (12) finished second over 1700m at Fukushima Dirt at his latest appearance on July 12. Placed only try course and distance and did win last time in when resuming. Sure to be ready to run well. BRUTUS (10) is normally a super honest galloper but missed the frame fresh with a 14th over 1800m at Niigata Dirt. Has a strong record this course and distance with a win and two minors from three tries. Fitter for that hitout and has plenty of scope for improvement. KYOEI FREUDE (2) resumes from a break of three-and-a-half months. Finished fourth at her most recent appearance over 1600m at Tokyo Dirt. Should give a great sight. |

Nicely placed to play a pivotal role. SWORD SLEIPNIR (12) will strip fitter for this after running below expectations first-up at Niigata, finishing fifth and beaten 4.5 lengths over 1400m. Nicely placed to turn things around. SILVER DON (15) has a moderate winning strike-rate but performed well last time at this track, finishing second and only 2 lengths from the winner at the end of 1200m. Suitably placed so anticipating another bold showing. |
