Crunch Time has the pace to lead in what is likely to be a moderate tempo. The maiden stayers kick us off. LOTTERY LINK (5) just ran into one better over this track and trip last time out and looks to be working up to a maiden victory. Gun hoop Rodd sticks in the irons and is drawn to get all the favours from the inside alley. Can finally shed the maiden tag against this line-up. SIR ARROGONCE (11) was in the betting when facing the starter for the first time and wasn't disgraced beaten only two lengths in town. Will have derived a stack of benefit from that day at the races and can feature with natural improvement. MAREMOTO (10) brings NSW formlines to the table and any market confidence must be noted. KONIGSTEIN (14) has been not far away in both runs so far, despite finishing tenth over 1350m at Doomben last time out. Can fill a place here. SUGGESTED PLAY: Lottery Link to finally break through. |

THE LAWN SHED QTIS Three-Year-Old Maiden Plate 1350m
Expecting a strong tempo with Tommy Tie, Ander's Dream and Hit A Lick going forward ahead of Threeeyedwitch and Weownachevy.
CRAZY EIGHTS (1) had shown ability at the trials before just finding one quicker at Doomben on debut. Will have taken a lot a benefit from that race day experience and gets a bunch of weight relief with the 3kg claim. Looks to have a bit of upside and can play a major role in the finish. WEOWNACHEVY (4) was well in the betting at Doomben last time out but didn't have the best of luck on that occasion. Ready to peak now third run back and where there's smoke there's fire. Looms as the main danger. THREEEYEDWITCH (2) has hit the top-four in all six career efforts to date and is working up to a maiden victory. Top-three aspirations. WIN STAR (10) is ready to the step-up in trip now and must be respected out of the Munce barn. In the mix. HIT A LICK (9) next best with Thompson in the stirrups. VINCE INSURANCE BENCHMARK 78 Handicap 800m
Speed should be right on over the 800m journey. STATE IN TEXAS (3) saves his best form for this track and trip with four wins and two seconds from eight attempts and will be cherry-ripe now third run back from the break. Gets 2kg weight relief with the claim and is drawn to get all the favours from the inside alley. Plenty to like about his prospects. You'd love to own a stable full of gallopers like DIAMANTINA ROSE (5) who has only missed a drum once in 15 career outings. Never runs a bad race and has to be included in calculations. WONDEREACH (1) has had one run back from a break and was well held in sixth over 1000m at Sunshine Coast a month ago. Fitter and in the mix. PEWTER PEARL (8) is returning from a spell of four months. Finished fifth at Kembla Grange over 1000m at the first run last prep. Now with a new trainer Emma Fouchard and rounds out the selections in a competitive affair. SUGGESTED PLAY: Boxed Trifecta 3,5,1,8. |

FERTPRO RATINGS BAND 0 - 65 Handicap 1350m
A few sit handy but there won't be a great deal of early pressure.
BLUISH HUE (2) has been knocking on the door of another victory with consecutive runner-up finishes this time in work and strikes a very winnable contest here. Strips fitter third-up, gets some weight off with the claim and maps nicely for this contest from gate four. Ticks plenty of boxes for a race like this. LEBANESE (8) has been right there in all four runs this preparation and gets the reliable Gollan/Lang combination. Should prove tough to hold out. KADESKY (6) will be better with that first-up effort now in the locker and gets Maloney on board to navigate from the sticky draw. Top-three candidate. TILL DUSK (7) has never missed a drum in seven career outings and is a must for the exotics players. MISHANI MOET (5) next in line with the claim from the inside alley. SUGGESTED PLAY: Bluish Hue to go one better. |

Expecting Royal Gladiator to take up the running with Barrelling and Baccarat Rouge close at hand. BARRELLING (1) is a very consistent conveyance who has hit the top-five at his past 11 starts and rarely puts in a poor one. Include from the favourable draw. SILVER SMASH (9) will be ready to peak now third run back from the break looks to be improving with racing. Can feature in the finish. ROYAL GLADIATOR (6) has placed two from two over this track and trip and is usually thereabouts. In the mix. CAPITAL CHORD (8) was out of the money two runs back when fresh from a spell then again missed the frame last start over 1110m at Doomben, but was only beaten 2.5 lengths when eighth. Finds a nice race and fitter is in the mix. SUGGESTED PLAY: Siding with Barrelling. |

GREAT NORTHERN Class 1 Handicap 1200m
Looks to be plenty of pace with Deep Kharma and Blue White Blue battling for the lead. Former NSW-based galloper MAQUISA (6) wasn't too far away when having her first local run and will have taken a lot of benefit from that hit-out. Should get a cosy run in transit from gate two and is sure to find this easier than what she faced down south. Keep very safe. DYAMI (1) has hit the frame at his past three efforts and gets a stack of weight relief with the 3kg claim. Should be right there at the business end. MURKADO (7) resumes here but the form he showed in his first preparation was good enough for a race of this calibre. In the mix while fresh. ASHKIRK (10) is a first-up winner who shouldn't be underestimated. SUGGESTED PLAY: Leaning towards Maquisa. |

Slick pace with Sequel finding the front but it won't be a picnic with a few other speedy types engaged. VANESSI (9) has a handy record over this distance range with a win and six placings from 12 attempts and will be cherry-ripe now third run back from the spell. Maloney sticks in the saddle following that last-start placing and should play a major role in the finish. YOWERI (4) has hit a purple patch of late with three wins and two placings from his past five outings and gets a bunch of weight relief with the 3kg claim. Saves his best for this trip and can continue the rich vein of form. SEQUEL (8) was a dominant six length winner at Beaudesert last time out and will have taken a stack of confidence from that victory. Include from the inside marble. ANDI DON'T CARE (10) loves this course and distance with a win and two seconds from just three attempts. Sure to give backers a sight. SUGGESTED PLAY: Boxed Trifecta 9,4,8,10. |
