Small field but a good tempo is expected with Outbush, Ozonica and Wild Dancer pressing on. Small field but good race. OZONICA (2) is worth following up. Fresh up from a long break led throughout for a big five-length win here and can only be fitter. Unbeaten in three runs at this course and distance and looks hard to rein in again. WILD DANCER (3) has been given a let-up since finishing at the tail here last time. Back in trip, back in grade and looks well placed to atone. OUTBUSH (5) has been freshened since finishing fourth on the turf last time. Goes well here and with strong early pace will give a sight. GLORY MISSION (1) resumes from a long break but hard to fault the recent trial form. Will no doubt improve but has the talent for this fresh. Stablemate THICKSKINNED (6) resumes and will wind up late this sharp trip. SUGGESTED PLAY: Stay with Ozonica. |

Goodstone Group Maiden 1150m
Flying Further should spear straight to the front of the small field. JOCK ROCK (6) made an encouraging debut last time out, racing on speed and was just edged out over 1350m at this track. Back in trip but has upside and looks sure to measure up. FLYING FURTHER (7) debuted two weeks ago when she finished fourth over 1150m at this track, beaten 2.5 lengths. Likely improver and worth following up. OUT OF THE SPHERE (2) was prominent at the turn and finished third last time over 1009m at this track when resuming from a spell, beaten 1.1 lengths. Fitter and is a leading contender. AWESOME ORPHAN (4) was beaten 4.5 lengths into fifth in a 1350m contest at this track a week ago. Quick back-up and won't be far away. BLUE RENDEZVOUS (5) is a mare by Blue Point making her first appearance. Runner-up in a Devonport Synthetic trial over 800m on September 1. Profiles well and a bold run is expected. SUGGESTED PLAY: Follow up on Jock Rock. |

Kevin Sharkie Maiden 1650m
Small field but expecting a genuine tempo with plenty of pace engaged. Weak maiden where LYREBIRD LADY (7) gets her chance. Former Victorian who has placed both runs for the new yard and now steps out to a mile for the first time. Overdue for a win and won't get a better chance to find winning form. SHINES DISCREETLY (3) is an eight-start maiden yet to place but has been racing in richer maidens on the mainland. Led and faded last time on the Pakenham synthetic and looks well placed in the small field here. Take catching. GYM PRINCESS (5) is course and distance placed and has solid top-three prospects. HIGHLAND DASH (6) is mixing form but back in trip and should be winding up late. GUBER (1) has had a lot of chances and now stretching out in journey. Can do better. SUGGESTED PLAY: Stay with Lyrebird Lady. |

Eaglefurther should spear straight to the front of the small field. EAGLEFURTHER (3) gave a sight here last time and just missed when run down by Azonoto over the same trip. Small field suits and will take catching again. KIREINA MARUBRAH (5) is another go-forward type suited by the small field. Gave a sight last time when placed over 1350m and will be in this for a long way. FLOSSING (1) ran third in the same race as Eaglefurther last time. Close to a win and another bold run is expected. JOHNNIE PINCH (2) goes best course and distance and is aided by the claim. AL MAXIMUS (4) was a winner over Azonto last time who in turn beat a couple of these at the next outing so has to be rated a leading player again. SUGGESTED PLAY: Eaglefurther will take catching. |

Maveric Workwear & Embroidery Open Hcp 1150m
Expecting a strong tempo, predominantly from Thoros Of Myr, Tsunami Sam and Hartman. HARTMAN (3) is a smart sprinter who returned from a break with a dominant win over this course and distance fresh, keeping his unbeaten record here at the trip intact. Fitter and although yet to win second-up it's hard to knock how he's returned. Drops nicely in the weights and will take beating again. THOROS OF MYR (4) is another go-forward galloper and will give a sight. Was run down by Hartman fresh and no better off at the weights but fitter and will be in this for a long way again. CHEROKEE DANCER (5) ran fourth in the same race when also fresh from a break. Meets the first two much better at the weights and has to be considered. ALPINE WOLF (2) goes well fresh and loves it here. TSUNAMI SAM (1) is a veteran who will give a sight. SUGGESTED PLAY: Stay with Hartman. |

Party Day should find the front with Dissalto and Diesel's Sunshine on her heels. PARTY DAY (2) led over the sharper trip fresh and was there until late before being run down. Fitter and goes well second-up. Best form is here and off a strong return should go close again. DISSALTO (4) is a Victorian galloper having first start this circuit but has had plenty of experience on the Pakenham synthetic. Has brilliant early speed and expected to take catching. Hard to beat on best figures. PACIFIC WITNESS (5) has the blinkers added and tough to beat if near her best. GEEGEES MERCEDES (3) finished just ahead of Party Day last time. Close to a win and drawn to feature. EQUIVASTER (1) was off the mark last time with a maiden win and can feature in the finish again. SUGGESTED PLAY: Keen on Party Day. |

Knights Reign to take up the running at a moderate tempo. WOLF JUNIOR (2) looks well placed here to find winning form. Fresh-up after a long break found the line strongly but also found one better. Placed 2/2 course and distance and should go close. FIERCE 'N FABULOUS (4) was thereabouts in a Class 2 last time and best form stacks up. Back a grade and change of rider. Blinkers added and looks a terrific chance to return to form. NANDI CLAN (6) is overdue for a win. Placed on the turf over a similar distance last time. Sure to go close. COLONEL BOGEY (3) is racing well and with the claim is one of the better chances. KNIGHTS REIGN (5) can hit the frame with the right run. SUGGESTED PLAY: Wolf Junior gets chance. |

A small field that lacks a pacemaker. Tough race. MERLIN BEACH (8) ran on well to score over 2400m last time at Hobart and beat a few of these. Back in trip but placed only try course and distance and also yet to win but has placed 3/4 this circuit. Nice weight and will be tough to stop. THE LONGEST YARD (2) came from last and scored here over 1650m last time. Rises sharply in weights but is drawn the inside and will stalk the pace throughout. Expected to be tough to stop with a repeat of that effort. AZONTO (7) is in form and is a solid top-three hope. DON'T GIVE UP (6) is better than last run when beaten 5 lengths into eighth over 2400m at Hobart and gets a chance to atone. SUGGESTED PLAY: Merlin Beach will be tough to stop. |

A race that lacks early pressure. Wide open. I'M CHEV (6) looks ready to win. Has been winding up late over the sharper trip at both runs this campaign but boasts a strong record on this course and extra distance. Gets a chance to break through. THE SPIRIT OF ZERO (1) was runner-up here two back then below best on the turf at Hobart last time. Better suited back to the synthetic and expected to improve sharply. COOL HEART (3) is in the same boat, placing here two back before racing below best on the turf latest. Very fit and should run well. ALPINE BLAST (5) is better than last run and drops back in trip for this. Gets a chance to improve. THISISMYTURF (4) will be winding up late. SUGGESTED PLAY: I'm Chev looks ready. |
