COMPULSORY (1) has been trying to win a race for longer than most in this, and he resumed as a warm favourite here 6 weeks and finishing a fair third over 970m. He is much better placed over 1300m, and he has each-way claims again, so follow your money. CONFECTIONIST (4) was too strong for the top pick the last time they met, and due to the conditions of this race, she will meet that runner even better off at the weights this time. On top again. PERFECT DIVIDENDS (1) loves it here, and he finished second by a length here in a similar field 12 days ago as a short-priced favourite. He has to carry more weight, but should do no work from the pole position, and he can push the top pick close again. REVO (2) needed the run when resuming on the Awapuni poly track 10 days ago over 1000m, and the extra 300m will suit him much more second up from a spell. Keep him safe in all top 4 combos. PETITE ROCHER (3) makes her season debut in a very modest maiden on a poly track for the first time, and from a good gate with Michael McNab in the saddle, she would want to go close to winning this. ZAC GARY (1) trekked South fresh up to finish third by less than a length at Awapuni-synthetic nearly 4 weeks ago, and from the pole position, she is the likely leader. Craig Grylls picks up the ride, and the pair should be very competitive. THE SWEETEST SONG (8) has been showing talent at the trials, winning her latest less than a month ago. She has picked out a nice race for her debut, and the market will be a strong guide. APOTHEOSIS (4) is a stablemate of the third pick who resumed with a fair seventh here 12 days ago. THE PERFECT ONE (1) will slide down in class after finishing fourth here 3 weeks ago, and before that he came with a well time run to score in BM72 company on this track. He cops another good gate, and if the tempo is strong, he is good enough to bounce straight back into the winner's circle. PINK GIN (2) shared the pace and fought on bravely for second here 12 days ago, continuing her strong form on this course. With the right run in transit, she can go one better this time. PARAVANE (4) bolted in at Te Aroha when fresh up last prep, and she looked in good condition at a recent trial. She has needed time to mature, and with the aid of a 4kg claim, she is good enough to overcome a wide draw, and give this a shake. FEEL THE STAG (5) needed her resuming run at Te Rapa, and makes her poly track debut on her home course. He carries less weight second up, and should be very competitive. Include in all top 4 combos. ARJAY'S FLIGHT (3) has been placed in his only run on this surface, and he looks to be perfectly placed with a 4.5kg drop in weight from his last start at Te Rapa where he was ridden positively early to find the top before dropping out. He can sit just off the pace this time, and should go close to winning. KEEPER'S HEART (1) is an Irish import who peaked on his run when resuming here 12 days ago, and he will have the side winkers on this time. His only win came on a poly surface, and with an extra 700m being ideal, he is expected to improve sharply. Each way. SILKDEGREES (4) has found it hard to win another race, and was runner-up here 12 days ago by half a length. She has top 4 claims here. TARZADOR (5) raced a touch too keenly here last time out, but he is worth another chance in a field with a long tail. JASPER (2) finished a sound fourth at his first run on this course here 3 weeks ago, and with some luck from a wide gate, he can figure in the finish again. Include. LERADO (1) has been thereabouts in stronger fields than this on this track recently, and at this level from the pole position, he should be the one to beat, especially with the aid of a 2kg claim. THINK I GOT CHA (2) made up some late ground when finishing runner-up by less than a length here 3 weeks ago over 1300m. He has a query over this longer trip, but if he runs up to his last start effort, then he is a top 4 hope. OMALISH (4) won her maiden at only her third start here 12 days ago, and she has more upside than a few of her rivals in this. She drops 2.5kg, and can figure in the top 3 again. CHEAP SAV (5) has not had many races to suit her racing style recently, and if she has the right run, then she is well worth including in all combos.
