Moderate tempo with Champagne Cathay leading the way and a few others keeping in touch. UNWANTED NEWS (8) improved nicely second-up to miss in a photo finish at Bunbury, running a new peak figure there. Now third-up into the campaign, she looks ready to fire with the aid of an inside barrier. Can raise the bar again now and she can land the knockout blow. NONEOFYOURBUSINESS (7) disappointed over 1300m fresh and dropped right back in trip last start when flying late at Belmont. Up to 1200m now is a good move and she looks to be nearing her best form. Can improve again now third-up. WIN FOR BUSTER (1) disappointed last start when fresh on a Heavy deck, though this presents as an opportunity for improvement. He jumped favourite there and the form has already held up. Expecting a better performance this time. SOVEREIGN CRUST (12) can improve out in distance today. SHE'S SOME CRAIC (6) was solid on resumption and is not to be discounted. SUGGESTED PLAY: Unwanted News can notch up her maiden win. |

ELECTRICAL CONSULTANCY WA MAIDEN 1200m
In the absence of noted leaders, Dreams Of Diamonds and Energetic may be the ones to set a moderate tempo. ENERGETIC (2) stuck on well over 1000m first-up at Belmont and ticks a few boxes getting out in distance. Parnham remains in the irons and the extra trip is a big tick for him. Maps to be a little closer this time around and with improvement expected, he can get the job done. YOU CAN CALL ME AL (1) is on resumption here without a trial, but the form at the end of last campaign makes for good reading. This is short of his best trip, but he's been effective behind some handy types at the shorter trips. May get back in the run but watch for him late in proceedings. DREAMS OF DIAMONDS (11) felt the pinch late in the race fresh where he settled handy and ended up 2.5L off the winner. This looks a more suitable event and she can't be left out of calculations. KENTUCKY DRIVE (7) is better than she showed last start and can bounce back to form. DIAMOND CHOUX (8) can feature first-up. SUGGESTED PLAY: Energetic can land the knockout blow. |

Reasonable tempo with Eightyseven Lad probably leading but a few others should keep him honest. LEMMOR FILOU (11) improved quickly last start, sitting on the speed and ending up 0.9L off the winner at Bunbury. She'll be better again for the last start effort and a better draw this time around is a big tick. Can sit handy again and with more experience under her belt, she can go one better. EIGHTYSEVEN LAD (2) won a trial coming into the campaign and missed first-up by 0.4L as the race favourite. Drawn better this time and with the fresh run behind him, he looks ready to go to the next level. Has plenty of upside and can play a leading role. DANCE OF DRAGONS (8) is ready for his debut, winning his latest trial at Belmont in readiness for this. Watson has partnered with him at the trials and hops back on board for his debut. Can make an impression. PEMBETON (1) looks better suited back to this trip second-up and an improved run is on the cards. MAHLER'S MELODY (9) won't be far away. SUGGESTED PLAY: Lemmor Filou makes the most appeal. |

Pace looks strong with Spanish Armada pressing on from an outside draw, joining On The Fence. OCEAN REEF (4) flew home on debut to miss by 0.9L at Belmont when handling the soggy going. The form out of that has already stood up and Carbery sticks with him. He looks suited out in distance now and with the race experience he's gained, he can get the job done. LETS TAKE A CHANCE (6) landed midfield on debut and was solid to the line, missing by 3.2L at Bunbury. He showed good ability there, with more distance and a better barrier both ticks for his chances he appears the main danger. MYSTIC CHAOS (11) was good here last start when sitting handy, ending up 1.8L off the winner at this track and trip. This shapes similarly and another forward showing is on the cards. SPANISH ARMADA (2) was solid on resumption and can feature despite the wide barrier. FIELD MISTRESS (12) is third-up now and can't be left out of calculations. SUGGESTED PLAY: Ocean Reef can get the job done this time. |

Decent sized field but it lacks any obvious pace. DELICATE WARRIOR (2) is hard to knock on his recent form, missing by 0.8L at this track and trip most recently. He's on the cusp of his maiden win, with a much better barrier this time around being a massive tick. Can sit closer and if he runs up to his latest effort, he can go one better. ROCKING IN VEGAS (1) flew home to bump into a good one before sitting up front last start and missing by 0.7L. Back slightly in trip won't be an issue and the barrier gives Dyson options. Racing well and his maiden win doesn't look far away. ADROIT (5) finished behind a handy type last start when 3.5L away, but he was clearly second best. The wide draw won't be an issue and with a touch of luck in running, he'll be hard to hold out. RARE HONOR (3) won't be far away if he runs to recent form. MAJOR MAGNUS (4) is next best. SUGGESTED PLAY: Delicate Warrior makes plenty of appeal. |

Genuine tempo with Looks leading the way. BONNY ROCK (2) got the job done over 1300m at Kalgoorlie last time out, winning by 0.5L. She's a track and trip winner in the past and she rates highly on the back of her last start win. Webster's claim comes in handy and with a handy setup here, she can go back-to-back. SUPERB VINTAGE (10) dipped a little second-up, but she'll find this a much easier event third-up into the campaign. She'll need a touch of luck from the barrier, though Watson knows him well and she still has a bit of upside. Can bounce back in a big way this time around. LOOKS (5) is racing in good order without winning, leading last start and finishing 1.5L off the winner. This is much easier and although he rises in weight, he'll be hard to reel in on his recent form. SILENT AMARDA (3) is ticking along nicely and won't be far away. MISS FINKMEYER (6) is third-up now and with a couple of gear changes, she can improve. SUGGESTED PLAY: Bonny Rock gets the nod. |

Pace genuine with Mighty Hosanna and Swansee pressing hard closely followed by King Brew and Countess Of Kenna. CANTRIX (9) is a lightly raced mare who has shown good ability early in her career. The inside draw helps her chances and she looks ready to fire first-up with two trials under her belt. TRUE FICTION (1) is racing in good order this campaign, missing by 0.9L last start at this track and trip as the race favourite. That form may have already been franked again today and while he's drawn wide, he does have early speed. Can make an impression again. SWANSEE (14) was too good from the front last start and can repeat the dose today. VANDOULA JET (11) is racing in good order without winning recently and can't be discounted. SUGGESTED PLAY: Cantrix gets the nod. |

No recognised leader so Back To Bondi could find himself in front. BERRY BLAST (7) is inching toward another win, missing in a photo finish last start over 1300m at Northam last week. She jumped favourite there and her maiden win came when third-up last campaign. Showed her class last start and despite drawing out again, she can go one better this time around. RUBENS' CEILING (1) disappointed fresh and has been back to the trials since that effort where he looked back on song. He should find a good position from the barrier and coming back to an easier race this time is a big tick. Still has good upside and can't be left out of calculations. LEETRON (2) was too good last start at 1400m here. That form has already been franked and it may have been again today. Back out in trip is no issue and he can repeat the dose. BACK TO BONDI (5) is better than he showed fresh and can improve quickly. SUGGESTED PLAY: Berry Blast looks the one to beat in the last. |
