4RACING WELCOMES YOU WORK RIDERS MAIDEN PLATE 1200m
JACK'S LEGACY (2) is a three-year-old filly who was purchased for ZAR R 200,000 (Bloodstock South Africa 2024 August Two Year Old Sale). Nice profile and any positive market lead must be respected. Look for forward showing in this field. IRISH WILMA (5) finished 9 lengths away in seventh last time out over 1000m at Turffontein Standside when fresh from a spell. Steps up in distance today. Should be poised just off the lead. Will be in this for a long way. BUFFALO DREAM (4) faced the starter for the first time last start and was just fair in finishing seventh at Vaal over 1000m, beaten 9 lengths. Expected to do more. YOUNG GENERAL (3) was safely held on debut but this easier and can improve sharply. |

#YOUCANBETONUS! MAIDEN JUVENILE PLATE 1600m
ME AND YOU (3) is a two-start maiden who was unplaced on debut then improved to finish second last time over 1600m at this track, beaten 0.8 lengths. Should settle in the leading division. Heading the right way and is expected to prove tough to beat. EMPRESS OF PEACE (1) has been in the placings at her last two starts, finishing second last time over 1500m at Vaal. Nicely placed to give this a mighty shake. UP AND UP (7) was in the firing line on the turn and finished second last time over 1600m at this track, beaten 5.5 lengths. Likely improver with winning claims. TREX ON FIRE (6) finished 7 lengths away in fifth at her last appearance over 1400m at Vaal on June 18. Should be about the money. |

RACING TODAY MAIDEN JUVENILE PLATE 1600m
JIMMY VEGA (3) missed the placings two runs back then improved last start when he did his best work late but found one better over 1400m at Turffontein Standside, beaten only 1.5 lengths. Gets chance to break through. MIDNIGHT SHOW (6) made a nice return last time out to finish second and beaten only 0.6 lengths over this course and distance. Likely to push forward and race on the pace. Expecting a bold showing. KOVIL (4) is yet to break through in three runs. Finished fifth at his last appearance over 1400m at Vaal on June 18 after he got a long way back in the run. Looks to be in the right race to play a big role. HIGHWAY CODE (2) finished 4 lengths away in sixth at his last appearance over 1600m at this track on June 29. Likely to be thereabouts. |

DELAWARE RIVER (1) was thereabouts last time out when third at Vaal over 1400m, beaten 1.4 lengths. Cherry-ripe now. Big chance to score. PEARL IN HER CROWN (2) turned in a much better effort last start when beaten only 1.1 lengths into second at Vaal over 1400m. Well placed and is a major contender. KORTVANDRAAD (3) was in the money first up then met with strong support last time but could only manage fifth over 1700m at Vaal. Well placed and is among the leading players. PRETTY ANALIA (4) turned in a nice effort to score two runs ago but was less impressive last time out when tenth over 1800m at this track, beaten 5.5 lengths. Well placed and can make amends. |

KENSAL GREEN (1) scored at her most recent appearance, getting home by 1.75 lengths over 1400m at Turffontein Standside. That continued the good form this campaign, with four wins and four minor placings from 11 starts. Can measure up again. RUSSIAN NOBILITY (6) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start when she settled well back over 1400m at Vaal, beaten 3 lengths into fifth. Finds a nice race and can feature in the finish. ONETWOBUCKLEMYSHOE (7) returned from a spell two-and-a-half weeks ago when she was beaten 4 lengths into seventh over 1400m at Turffontein Standside. Fitter and sure to run well. LADY SABRINA (8) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 1450m at this track, beaten 3 lengths into fifth. Best efforts measure up so worth another chance. |

EUPHRATES (4) impressed last time out at the second run of the campaign when he worked home well and finished 4 lengths from the winner in third over 2400m at Turffontein Standside after being prominent at the corner. Ready to win and drops back from open class. Strong winning hope. DJ JUNIOR (2) travelled in a rearwards position and only got going late over 2400m at Vaal last time out when in the market. That followed a good second the run prior. Goes well here and keeps coming so extra trip suits. Can bounce back after a modest effort last time. DECEPTION PASS (1) hasn't been able to break through for an extended period, the latest effort a sixth over 2000m at this track. Finds a suitable assignment and can turn things around. STOP THE TRAFFIC (6) lines up on the back of a 4.5 lengths fourth over 2000m at Vaal. Has definite claims. |

LOST FOR WORDS (2) returned to winning form second up last start, scoring by 1.75 lengths over 1160m at Turffontein Standside. Has won 3/6 starts and all three wins at this trip. Strips fitter so she is sure to feature in the finish. HATHIGHWAYTOTHESKY (3) finished a 6 length tenth when resuming last start over 1200m at Greyville. Back from a run in open class fresh and goes well second-up. Sure to run well. KAVADY (8) ran fifth at her latest appearance over 1400m at Greyville, clocking in 5 lengths from the winner. Has been racing in stakes class lately. Worth another chance. MYSTICAL MISS (7) hasn't been able to break through for an extended period, the latest effort a fourth over 1000m at Vaal. Well placed and there is no reason she cannot return to winning ways. |

NEXT TURFFONTEIN RACEMEETING TUESDAY 21 JULY FM 76 DIVIDED HANDICAP 1200m
BRIGITTE ANNE (3) did a great job to score by 6 lengths over today's course and distance when resuming from a layoff last time out. Well placed and there is no reason she cannot repeat the dose. TRIP OF FAITH (2) improved last time out, finishing 1.5 lengths from the winner in third at the end of 1200m at this track. Won't find this as tough so she is a big chance to get the prize. SAKURA HANAMI (5) improved last start to finish third over 1160m at Turffontein Standside. Nicely placed to find winning ways. WINTER IN AUCKLAND (6) was returning from a break last time out and proved too classy, scoring by 1.3 lengths over 1160m at Turffontein Standside. Will be better for that latest run and she can measure up again. |
