Porter Plant 3YO Maiden Plate 1400m
Contours and Is Extreme will press forward in a keen battle for the lead. CONTOURS (1) resumes having raced three times to date. He showed enough there, beaten under a length on debut at Geelong, to suggest he'd be knocking off a maiden this time in. This lacks depth and he sets up well on speed. MY SHALONA (11) tried hard on the turf here last start, sitting on speed and boxing on for a distant third on heavy ground. Switches to synthetic now but is rock-hard fit and has claims. MAJESTIC CHOICE (10) has been fair in two runs back and will be better for them, up in trip and onto the firmer footing here should suit nicely. ARBENITA (7) is a filly by Ghaiyyath on debut. Jump outs have been okay but the bar isn't set too high. DONE MY JOB (3) has been solid in two runs back and is in the mix. SUGGESTED PLAY: Contours to win. |

From wide out Lucky Crimson can slide over and set up a genuine tempo. BOULDEROO (15) was well below his best last start at Swan Hill but had been coming along quite well prior with a narrow second at Echuca reading very well for this. First go on the synthetic but is capable of bouncing back. LIBBY ANN (8) has had plenty of chances as a 17-start maiden but is going okay, getting into third when last seen at Mt Gambier. She can figure in a winnable race. STELLETTA (11) resumes. She got over a bit more ground last time in but was thought highly enough to contest a pair of Tasmanian Listed races before a break and this won't take nearly as much winning. CREATIVE RIGHTEOUS (1) resumes for a new yard off a solid jumpout and could surprise. STORMRISER (14) is a rough hope back in trip. SUGGESTED PLAY: Boulderoo on top. |

Global Turf Maiden Plate 1200m
Solid pace with Perlage finding the front but it won't be a picnic with a few other speedy types engaged. EXPENSIVE TASTE (11) resumes with form head and shoulders above these. Three runs to date have all been in the money, the latest in the G2 VRC Sires when beaten 1.3 lengths. Kicks off on her home deck and should be taking care of these. HARRY DE LAD (2) continues to race very well with runs spaced, third in a strong maiden two back before a close-up effort at Horsham. He's fit and will roll forward to take catching. BLACKJACK (1) resumes, a former McEvoy horse. He's trialled quite well in South Australia and had shown ability in QLD in his maiden campaign, respecting. VERY FAMOUS (9) resumes having hinted at some ability last time in, level of improvement is the key here. FORWARD HO (6) is going okay and can stick on for a place. SUGGESTED PLAY: Expensive Taste should be winning. |

Strong early tempo with Lovedup Lola and Tennessee Spirit leading the way. CACCHIONE (2) was just fair last time at Pakenham Synthetic, his first go on an all-weather surface, but had been coming along well prior in much stronger maidens. Fancy he'll be better for that experience and back to 1000m should suit much better anyway. FILIGREE SHADOW (6) wasn't far away on debut on the turf here when well supported as a $3.50 hope to grab fourth. She'll be better for that and the stable are flying on this track. TENNESSEE SPIRIT (11) didn't handle the heavy 10 at Wangaratta but had been close up in town fresh. This suits nicely, she should be bouncing back. LOVEDUP LOLA (12) was okay on debut at Donald when in the market and is expected to improve quickly for the top yard on firmer footing. BLACKHILL BOY (1) resumes with minor claims. SUGGESTED PLAY: Cacchione to win. |

Strong pace from Harford, Boyd and Hughie. FROSTED IN TIME (2) resumes for his first go on synthetic. He was racing in good form last campaign, putting up some strong figures on good tracks including a 9-length maiden win at Kilmore. He profiles very well for this and maps for every chance. BLISS BOMB (7) resumes having gone to the paddock after a good maiden win at Seymour. Off a very long spell here is the query but wary of any support. SISTINE TUNNEL (6) resumes. She's had a bit of synthetic experience which helps and she does typically go well fresh. Respecting. HUGHIE (5) resumes. He's a speedy sort who has run well fresh and likes firm going so this should suit nicely. BOYD (4) is coming off a maiden win at Swan Hill and is in the mix. SUGGESTED PLAY: Frosted In Time to win. |

Expecting a solid pace with Magnardo, Our Little Star and Noubentekh leading the charge. MAGNARDO (1) is on a quick turnaround after a solid second over 1100m at this track 10 days ago, off a decent break into that run having put together a series of wins prior. She's placed here before and finds a nice race to return to winning ways. OUR LITTLE STAR (2) doesn't win many but put in a good effort here last time out when sticking on for third and turns around quickly here. Drawn well and should take beating again. POINT OF ECSTASY (9) struggled last time at Bendigo but had been good fresh and can improve. WHAT YOU WILL (4) hasn't fired in two runs this time in but could be an improver third up while PACKERS JOURNEY (5) knocked off her maiden at Donald when last seen and might be able to go on with it now. SUGGESTED PLAY: Magnardo on top. |

Expecting a strong gallop with Angling For Info and Min Kiata taking up the running over Bad Blood. BAD BLOOD (1) resumes having made the perfect start to his career at Stawell, sent out as favourite and justifying the support to come away and win well enough. He was tipped straight out for a short break and can go on with the job now. GISELLA (11) struggled in much tougher company in town last time but had been going very well prior for this and did run second her only go on this track. Hard to hold out. VERY TORQUEE (5) got home well to grab second at Swan Hill when last seen and has claims provided he handles the synthetic first time. PICO BELLA (8) is lightly raced having struggled at Murray Bridge last time out. The fresh win here on turf was solid and she could improve. ANGLING FOR INFO (2) next best. SUGGESTED PLAY: Bad Blood to win. |

Moderate tempo headed by Brazenga from his low draw. Tough finish. SHE'S A CON (10) ran a solid race first up at Sale when in the market, getting home nicely to finish sixth, beaten three lengths. First go on the synthetic here but is right up to these and will be very hard to hold out. ISALOT (4) found winning form quickly second-up to break the maiden at Swan Hill in a 0-56. Drawn well and should measure up again. ONE BOUND (3) won his maiden well on wet ground at Casterton last time out. Tougher here and onto synthetic but respecting. BRAZENGA (1) can mix his form but is up to these on his best and his turf form says the drier the better so synthetic might suit. DARTS DALY (2) has claims on the placing two back at Casterton.
