NUM TIME COMMENT
1 12:34 SOILCO HANDICAP 1280m
Expecting plenty of speed from Faerywood, Geostorm and Perfectly Good from Sogeri. GEOSTORM (2) led and won here when off a freshen over 1206m in a strong performance in this grade. He rises in weight, but he should be better for that effort and this can set up similarly with Boudvillain now on board. Expecting him to be up front and in this race for a very long way. FAERYWOOD (1) shapes nicely for this event on the back of a maiden victory in his first run for the new stable. He was too good from the front there and he can press on from the draw to be prominent again here for Keatings. Has more upside than his rivals and can repeat the dose. EXOTHRILL (4) will find this much easier than what he's been racing in. He's been well beaten in Provincial company recently, though back to this company can see him recapture his best form. BO COUGAR (8) was solid on return behind Geostorm and can't be left out of calculations. BEAU ROCK (6) is ticking along nicely and is not to be discounted.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Geostorm can go back-to-back.
2 01:09 SOILCO CORKHILL BROS PLATE 1750m
O Cara Mia to take up the running with Turn Left and Miss Steffi close at hand. HIGHWAY ROBBERY (10) was a big drifter in betting, though he was very strong late in the race to be 1.5L off the winner at the finish with the jockey suggesting he didn't enjoy the kickback. A better draw and a rise in trip suit and with improvement on the cards, he can notch up a maiden win. TIMELESS GRACE (7) is hard to knock on recent form, racing well without winning. She disappointed here last time out, but comes back to 1750m this time which may suit. Can sit much closer this time and can get the job done. SUNBURNT COUNTRY (1) went around the outside and scored an impressive win here over 1900m. Will need a touch more luck from the inside barrier this time, but his latest win makes him hard to ignore. O CARA MIA (2) comes back to a firmer deck this time third-up into the campaign. Can improve now. TURN LEFT (3) is another who can improve after only a fair effort here last start.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Highway Robbery can score a maiden win.
3 01:44 RIVERVIEW HANDICAP 1080m
Slick tempo with Entirely Oak to lead but under plenty of pressure in a keen early contest. ROSELILY (6) was just fair on debut but improved quickly out to 1100m last time out, beaten just 0.5L. This race looks to set up nicely for her and getting back on top of the ground may be the key. Ticks a few boxes here and can secure her maiden victory. SPICE ALLEY (3) led them up over this track and trip when fresh from a break, though she couldn't hold on when beaten 2L as the race favourite. She'll be fitter for that effort and returned with a career best. Can raise the bar again now and make her presence felt. INSPIRING (2) faded out of contention at Wangaratta last start in his first run for the new stable, though that was on a wet deck. Back onto a firmer surface here and he'll be fitter now. Can turn in an improved run. CHARLIES (7) won a trial coming into this and can give some cheek for the new stable. ENTIRELY OAK (9) can't be left out of calculations on the back of a good last start effort.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Roselily looks the one to beat.
4 02:19 GINNINDERRY PLATE 1280m
Pace looks sure to be genuine with The Bus and Skibidi matching motors, closely followed by Sontuoso. OPINE (5) was sound on debut at Gosford when in the market and he didn't lose any admirers there. Lines up here with Small's claim coming in handy, but he'll find this easier and the firmer footing may be to his liking. Had trialled well going into his maiden effort and he can get the job done this time around. MONTE BRAVEHEART (4) was strong to the line in a good return off a very long break. McDougall takes the ride now and although he's drawn wider, that won't be an issue. Should be better again out in distance and he can go one better without surprising. OLIVIA MIA (10) finished off well here last start and gets an opportunity to sit closer in the run this time around. Wouldn't surprise to see her shed the maiden tag. SKIBIDI (6) comes through a good form race at the end of last campaign and won't be far away. KISEMBO (3) can improve on a disappointing performance last time out.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Opine looks the one to beat.
5 02:54 EMBERPOINT HANDICAP 1080m
From the outside gate Jukebox Flyer can cross and take up the running. FLASHBACK TIME (10) got the job done first-up after sitting close to the speed and was too good. Back to the scene of the crime here and she's expected to have come on from that effort. This looks to set up favourably again and she can go back-to-back to start this campaign. COOL BLAZE (1) is third-up now and comes back from provincial company to line up here with the blinkers on first time. Her maiden win came on the turf course here and this shapes very similarly. Can bounce back to her best. JIMMY'S READY (7) tackled the Black Opal before the break but was a good maiden winner against the older horses prior. Drawn the inside today and can return on a positive note. NABHA (9) is third-up here and building into the campaign nicely. Well-suited and won't be far away. MUST BE SAIN (5) can feature in his first run for the new stable.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Going with Flashback Time on top.
6 03:29 HAYMAN PARTNERS HANDICAP 1206m
Jazz All Knight is the likely leader at a strong tempo. ELLISMAYNE (1) has been racing over further and at the provincials in recent efforts and should appreciate this scenario today. McDougall hops aboard here and her maiden win did come in country grade. Looks well placed here and can bounce back to winning ways. TRIPTOLEMUS (3) profiles nicely for a race like this first-up after tackling the Canberra Guineas Preview where he wasn't disgraced. Blinkers go on for the first time now and he does possess good early speed. With a touch of luck from the barrier, he can return with a bang. SMASHING LULU (2) was too good in her only run last campaign, running over the top to score 97 days ago at Queanbeyan. This shapes nicely and she looks a nice filly on the way up. Won't be far away. SHOWTIME MAGGIE (11) ended last campaign in good order and can pick up from where she left off. CALLENEM THRU (10) comes through a good form race fresh where she pulled up with an issue. Expecting a better performance here.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Ellismayne goes on top.
7 04:04 TAB FEDERAL 1080m
Vella's Best, Helluva Teen and Iowna Benz to match motors but there will be other pressure. VELLA'S BEST (1) comes here after a placing in Saturday company last start behind a handy type who has since won again. Gets in nicely here with the claim of Sinclair and should be able to find the front from an inside barrier. Ticks plenty of boxes and can get back to winning ways. FAMOSO (10) profiles nicely for a race like this as he worked through the grades last campaign. His recent trial on this surface was superb and Cahill hops on board for his return. Can sit just off the speed and land the knockout blow late in the race. KING GUTHO (3) went up to Queensland again and disappointed at the Magic Millions, but he had won over the 1000m the start prior. He's a classy customer who performs well fresh and can't be left out of calculations. PLEASURIZE (7) is racing in good order and can feature in the finish again. RAVALLI (8) is third-up here and the form out of his last start has worked out well. Keep safe.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Vella's Best looks the one to beat.
