1 11:45 ARMIDALE BOWLING CLUB/CLUB QUIRINDI SHOWCASE 2YO HANDICAP 1000m
Plenty of first starters engaged which muddies the map a little. It is fair to assume a solid tempo. SWEET LEAF (1) sharp debut winner at Gunnedah, then thrown in the deep end with a game on-pace fourth over 1100m at Randwick. Gets weight relief again and has the speed to overcome the wide gate. Go close. HONNIBALL DRIVE (6) ran second to Sweet Leaf on debut, then stuck on well in the heavy going to finish second over 1100m at Dubbo in the Silver Goblet. Well placed and can take this out with the 4kg claimer aboard. BIG LON (2) resumes without a trial. Comes out of a fast run race on debut with a tiring second over 1100m at Dubbo on March 15. Talented gelding who must be kept safe. WHISKEYSIPPI RIVER (11) resumes after failing to get into the contest on debut when eighth at this track over 1000m on February 23. Two slick trial wins have her primed for this.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Sweet Leaf and Honniball Drive can fight it out.
2 12:20 ARMIDALE SERVICES CLUB/INVERELL SPORTIES COUNTRY BOOSTED SHOWCASE MAIDEN PLATE 1000m
From wide out Not So Wrong and Puffin will establish a genuine tempo. SUPIDO STAR (13) hard fit for this and drawn poorly again. Covered plenty of ground in the run with a fighting second as fav over 1000m at this track. Expecting her to get the job done today. PUFFIN (11) handy filly resuming from a lengthy spell. Was a month between runs with a tiring fifth over 1000m at Gunnedah over a year ago. Back with the two trials and can take a hand in the finish. SPELLECAST (5) blinkers come off for this and will appreciate a firmer surface. Raced on the speed last time with a tiring fifth over 1000m at Scone. Deserves another chance. NOT SO WRONG (2) comes back in trip for this and the blinkers go on. Showed good early dash and raced on the speed last start before fading to finish sixth over 1200m at Inverell. Apprentice sticks and can take a hand in the finish.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Box Quinella 13,11,5,2.
3 12:55 GLEN INNES SERVICES CLUB/INVERELL RSM SHOWCASE MAIDEN HANDICAP 1200m
Good tempo anticipated with Albert's Pick and Scathingly leading the way. LYON (7) finally comes up with a decent gate and is back in trip. Went back from the wide gate and never got into the contest when twelfth over 1600m at Scone. Best figures measure up nicely and expected to go close. SIDE QUEST (12) just under a month between runs when she raced on the pace for a most improved second over 1200m at this track. Drops further in weight with the 4kg claim and set to peak. Top-three player. LEOVANNI (4) finds an easier race today after she turned in an eye-catching performance when second over 1300m at Scone. Likely to go back from the wide gate and launch late. SCATHINGLY (11) improving gelding who doesn't get the same map favours today after finishing third over 1000m at this track. Stays in the calculations.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Box Quinella 7,12,4,11.
4 01:30 LIGHTNING RIDGE BOWLO/WALGETT RSL SHOWCASE SUPER MAIDEN PLATE 1400m
Poshy's Girl is expected to burn across and lead from the wide alley. SPLASH OF STEEL (6) finds his race today third-up. Savaged the line with the 59kg for a narrow second over 1280m at Muswellbrook. Gets the gun run here and will take holding out over the 1400m. MR BOHEMIAN (14) improving gelding who found the line nicely second-up for a tough third over 1300m at Scone. Can race a touch closer from the inside gate and figure prominently. POSHY'S GIRL (13) has finished runner-up at all three outings and must overcome a difficult draw today. Sat on the speed and never gave up when second over 1250m at Taree. Has good early speed and should be able to hold a position from the gate. Each-way. NORTHERN EAGLE (4) ran a better race last start when he warmed up late to secure fourth over 1200m at this track on a heavy (9) surface. Place best.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Splash Of Steel can get off the mark at start ten.
5 02:05 WEST TAMWORTH LEAGUES SHOWCASE BENCHMARK 82 HANDICAP 1600m
Just a moderate tempo headed by Shaggy Rogers, Oenology and Indifference. A POUND OF SALT (4) on the quick back-up and has his hoof on the till. Drifted back early from the inside gate and motored late with a respectable fourth over 1512m at Port Macquarie. Tempo suits and expected to go close. INDIFFERENCE (1) has a good record over this course and distance and on the quick turnaround with the 4kg claimer aboard. Chipped away late for a tidy third over 1512m at Port Macquarie. Finds a more suitable contest and can get the job done. RING AHOY (5) consistent gelding kept fresh for this. Rounded up inferior opposition with a comfortable win over 2245m at Grafton. Gets in light with the in-form apprentice aboard. Each-way. BELLINI SPRITZ (6) is a capable mare who freshened up well with a solid second over 2100m at this track. Maps well and should handle the drop in distance.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Box Quinella 4,1,5,6.
6 02:40 MOREE SERVICES CLUB/NARRABRI RSL CLUB COUNTRY BOOSTED SHOWCASE BENCHMARK 58 HANDICAP 1000m
Plenty of pace established by Beyond The Sky, Showtime Sassy and Eezitosort, with Kakoda close at hand. CAPSITY (3) fast filly resuming. Made rapid progress with the two wins last prep and expected to go on with it this time in. Fitted with the two trials and will take catching from the low gate. EEZITOSORT (8) improved quickly this campaign with a solid on-pace win from the wide draw over this track and trip. Can keep the winning momentum going in this stronger race. MASTER GEE (4) just over a month between runs when he shouldered the big weight to run fourth over 1000m at this track. Tackling a deeper field this time but he is worth serious consideration. SNATCHREILLY (2) gelding who resumes on his home track with a decent record here. Fitted with a searching 1000m trial placing here and will benefit with the 4kg claimer aboard. Each-way.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Capsity in a strong contest.
7 03:15 SOUTH TAMWORTH BOWLO SHOWCASE CLASS 3 HANDICAP 1400m
Looks to be plenty of pace with Meddlesome and I'm Super battling for the lead. SIRLEAF (7) turned things around quickly when she ploughed through the heavy conditions to get up in a tight finish over 1400m at this track. Sharp weight drop and good gate can offset this stronger contest. Go close. CHEVAL CHIC (2) winkers go on today and should handle the rise in trip. Kept finding with the 60kg for a close-up sixth over 1200m at this track. Leading contender. NAUGHTY NURSE (6) is well drawn for this after she drifted back from a sticky gate for a disappointing last over 1400m at Newcastle. Worth noting winning apprentice William Stanley goes aboard. Expected to bounce back quickly. SMART BUY (8) smart on her day and the good tempo suits despite drawing poorly. Anywhere near her best can see her sneak into the finish.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Box Quinella 7,2,6,8.
8 03:50 CLUBS NSW SHOWCASE BENCHMARK 82 HANDICAP 1200m
Strong tempo assured with Enterprise Legend, Mystery Lad and Castlebar Road rolling to the front. ANDALE ANDALE (10) exciting mare heading in the right direction. Shouldered the big weight again for a comfortable win over 1280m at Muswellbrook in weaker class. Undefeated at the trip and looks ready for this with the big weight drop. Hard to hold out. TOUGH GUY (9) has continued the good form from last prep and a win looks imminent. Motored late for a close-up third over 1100m at Scone. Best figures measure up and can race closer from the low draw. ENTERPRISE LEGEND (3) consistent gelding in career best form. Taken to the front and never headed with a gritty victory over 1100m at Scone. Must be included with the 4kg claimer retaining the ride. HE'S MY WARRIOR (14) trained locally and deserves another chance with the big swing in weight. Anchored with the 61kg when a month between runs, finishing sixth over 1280m at Muswellbrook. Value player.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Andale Andale looks hard to stop in this rich vein of form.
9 04:30 TAMWORTH SERVICES CLUB COUNTRY BOOSTED SHOWCASE BENCHMARK 58 HANDICAP 1000m
Maxandus and On Hold possess good early speed. IKNOWYOU (2) above average gelding starting to build a solid winning CV. Covered ground when back in trip for a slick victory over this course and distance with the 4kg claimer aboard. Meets some better types this time but has the ability to test this field. SOLAR BLAST (3) meets Iknowyou better at the weights after launching from back in the field with an eye-catching third over this track and trip. Genuine player who can round these up. BOOMTIME NOW (6) hard fit for this and has solid claims after he demolished a maiden field over 950m at Moree. Shaping up nicely and has genuine top-three prospects. KAWATIRI (8) complete mystery from the inside gate when a disappointing twelfth over 950m at Moree. Assess on the good win two-back and stays in the calculations.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Iknowyou and Solar Blast shapes as the two leading contenders.
