TAB Maiden Plate 1400m
Moderate tempo with Mishpat leading the way and a few others keeping in touch. In a race that lacks depth OCTOBER MANIFESTO (7) is a standout. Two runs this prep have had merit, the latest a desperately close second over this distance at the Gold Coast where he gave away a big start on straightening. Cherry ripe now and just needs to hold his form to be breaking the maiden status. ABLESHEEBA (5) had been going okay until stretched to 1710m at Ipswich last time where he struggled. Very fit three-year-old who can improve coming back to a more suitable journey. DIVIL A BIT (3) raced back in the field and couldn't make an impression first-up over 1300m at the Gold Coast. Backs up six days later and an accomplished senior rider goes on. Expecting a much better effort. MISHPAT (11) ran a far better race last start when fourth-up from a spell, battling on well for third over 1210m at Toowoomba. The extra trip is a small query but in a race of questionable quality she is a top four contender. CAIRO QUEEN (8) is one for the exotics at the third run back from a break. SUGGESTED PLAY: October Manifesto to win. |

Book A Raceday QTIS Three-Years-Old Maiden Plate 1100m
Solid tempo expected primarily from Gone By Daylight and Kuia Ma. LADY MILAN (6) improves at each appearance this time in work. Raced handy then boxed on well for third last time out over today's trip at Ipswich. Very fit and drops 3.5kgs after the claim. Major player. OUR GIRL SCARLETT (9) opened this campaign with a couple of nice efforts then failed to run on as anticipated over this trip at Ipswich last start. Best figures stack up favourably so she gets her chance to put the record straight. TOOBLOOS (12) was lining up for only the second time when an eye-catching third over 1000m at the Gold Coast recently. That was her first run following a 16-week spell so there is plenty of improvement in store. LISTING CAPITAL (11) led but succumbed late and missed the placings over 1200m at Murwillumbah last start. Should give some cheek around this tight circuit back to 1100m. MISHANI PRINCE (4) resumes. Placed a couple of times in town last prep which is good form for a race of this quality. SUGGESTED PLAY: Keen on Lady Milan. |

Beaudesert Raceday 7 July Class 1 Plate 2450m
Not much early speed of note and She Can Soar and Pellinor may find themselves setting a steady tempo. CLASSIC SHIRAZ (6) belted a mediocre field over 2042m at Murwillumbah two runs back then had a six-week break before closing well at the end of 1800m at the Gold Coast last start. Strips fitter and is looking for this staying trip now. SHE CAN SOAR (8) relished the step up in trip last time out, racing on the pace then clearing away for an effortless maiden win over 2200m at the Gold Coast. Progressive filly who should enjoy this staying test. PENDING LIST (2) gets over a bit of ground for the first time since joining the Ken Jones stable in April. Won his only race over this trip at Mornington. Hit the line well at Dalby last start and should be at his peak for a race like this. SMELTER (3) kept whacking away to finish fourth over this course and distance in a BM60 a fortnight ago. Just the one win in 29 starts but a top four finish here looks on the cards. PELLINOR (4) ran third in a similar race to this on ANZAC Day and has been tried over shorter trips since. In the mix. SUGGESTED PLAY: Classic Shiraz on top in a tricky race. |

XXXX Class 2 Handicap 1650m
Reasonable tempo with a few going forward, headed by Carnegie Hill. CARNEGIE HILL (1) raced up on the speed and had his chance only to be edged out in a Class 1 over 1800m at the Gold Coast last start. Better placed back to the mile and with 4kg less after the claim he looks beautifully placed. Draws gate one so ticks all round. GOLDEN MIKKI (2) settled last in a big field then made steady ground to clock in fifth last Saturday over 1400m at the Gold Coast. Will appreciate the longer trip today. Obviously going well at home and this looks a winnable race. TRIPLE TIME (6) was very good first-up at Murwillumbah then struggled at Doomben more recently over this trip. Drops 3.5kgs and strips fitter so a much better run is on the cards. HARD AS BROK (4) caught the eye at the end of 1400m at Gatton last start. Beaten less than a length over 1600m at Eagle Farm at this stage last prep. Definite contender. SUGGESTED PLAY: Carnegie Hill to win. |

beaudesertraceclub.com 0 - 58 Handicap 1100m
Solid tempo likely with Russian Pins, Zarippa and Yoweri prominent. DO WHAT I SAY (9) made it three runner-up cheques on the trot when she finished well but missed by under a length over 1200m here a fortnight ago. Coming back to 1100m is a small query but she is going better than most of these and can finish right over the top. CHARLOTTE'S HERE (5) returned to form last time out with a close second against the fillies and mares over this course and distance. Nicely drawn and drops 3.5kgs after the claim. Has been up for a while but holds her form and looks a definite threat. DECADAD (2) stalked the pace but had no answer to the winner over 1200m at Murwillumbah recently. Going well enough to test this field. MAJESTIC LOUVRE (3) returned from a short spell with a respectable third in a comparable race to this two weeks ago. Second-up form is not great which is the only niggle. Last start Gatton maiden winner YOWERI (1) is a lightly raced three-year-old with improvement to come. SUGGESTED PLAY: Do What I Say to win. |

Beaudesert Raceday 21 AUGUST Class 5 Handicap 1400m
Moderate tempo with Pareto leading the way and a few others keeping in touch. Funny race with most of the chances coming off last start failures. WAKU WAKU (3) raced wide and couldn't make an impression last start over 1500m at Muswellbrook. Scored three back over 1350m at Wyong and has three wins from six at or around today's trip. Can bounce back. PARETO (1) is the form runner, most recently clocking in second over 1200m at the Gold Coast in a Class 5. Very fit and would be top pick only he is unproven at this sort of distance. HOLLYWOOD EPIC (6) went close two back at Toowoomba then was too bad to be true at the same venue at his last appearance five weeks ago. Worth another chance while fresh with ace hoop Jace McMurray taking over. RUBYDOO (7) had been going well until a poor effort over 1666m at Ipswich last Saturday. This looks a more suitable assignment. TREASURER (9) cruised home in a Class 4 over this course and distance two back then was terrible at Toowoomba last time. Can improve off a five-week let-up. SUGGESTED PLAY: Waku Waku on top but not super confident. |

Gold Coast Bowls & Community Club Colts, Geldings and Entires RATINGS BAND 0 - 58 Handicap 1400m
Youcompleteme has good early speed and can set a decent tempo. KEEP IT LOKI (8) showed he was close to a win last start with a barnstorming finish to miss by a whisker over this distance at the Gold Coast. Hasn't always thrived at this track which is a question mark but on that last effort he looks the testing material. MISTER SELFIE (1) is in rare form. Scored two back at Ipswich then tried hard but found one better over this distance at Dalby last time. Drops a little in grade today but does have 60kgs and a wide gate to deal with. Sure to be highly competitive. YOUCOMPLETEME (10) has finished near the tail but not all that far off the winner in his two runs this prep, the latest over 1350m at Ipswich. Lightly race four-year-old ready to find his best form with blinkers going on for the first time. CALVARY (17) backs up five days after struggling on a heavy track at Ballina. Form before that was rock solid so he deserves another chance. DIFRONZO (3) won his maiden here at this trip last start and is heading in the right direction. SUGGESTED PLAY: Keep It Loki to score. |

Home of Country Racing Fillies and Mares 0 - 58 Handicap 1400m
Genuine tempo from Usual Limits leading Privalova. IN GREAT SPIRIT (2) raced up on the speed and dug deep to be beaten just a length last start over 1350m at Ipswich. Very fit after four runs back from a spell. Will race handy and prove tough to get past around this tight circuit. ALL TOO FOXY (11) returned from a nine-week break with a win two back at Warwick then she floundered in heavy going at Ipswich last time. Worth another chance back on firmer ground. CONSTANT CAFE (1) produced an eye-catcher first-up over 1100m at this track, making up a few lengths to finish a close fourth. A wide gate makes it tough but out to this trip with a run under the belt she should be thereabouts. PRIVALOVA (3) has been a bit plain in her two runs this time in work. Drops a little in grade this time and can improve at the third run back. LENNYSTAR (12) was runner-up in a similar race here a fortnight ago. Doesn't win out of turn but she is a good each-way hope in an even contest. SUGGESTED PLAY: In Great Spirit looks ready to win. |
