GREAT NORTHERN Maiden Plate 1600m
Genuine tempo with the speedy Ready Lightly leading the way. ZOUSAIN GIRL (7) is unlucky to still be a maiden hitting the frame at the past couple of outings and strikes a very winnable contest here. Drawn to get all the favours from the inside alley and should be right there at the business end. READY LIGHTLY (1) is another on the doorstep of a maiden victory placing at his past three starts including a third over this track and trip last time out. Gets some weight relief with the 3kg claim and looms as the main danger. BE BOB ALOOLA (3) put in a career-best performance placing here at the latest effort and looks a genuine top-three prospect based on that effort. MAHTIKKAINSTINCT (4) has placed around this circuit and may earn some minor money. CIRQUE DE LA VIE (6) next in line. SUGGESTED PLAY: Zousain Girl to break the maiden status. |

TAB OPEN Handicap 1050m
Early Fusion and Mr Tangles can pave the way. OBLIGATED (5) resumes here but the form he showed when last in work was good enough to be competitive in a race like this. Is a three-time winner over this sprint journey and a strong showing while fresh would not surprise. DOUBTING EYE (2) has put back-to-back wins together and is racing with a lot of confidence of late. Has to be included in calculations. MEDIA EMPIRE (4) is a five-time winner here on his home circuit and will be cherry-ripe now fourth run back. Top-three credentials. EARLY FUSION (3) goes well for hoop Apel who has five wins and two placings from just ten steers. Again gets the benefit of her 2kg claim and can make his presence felt. CAPTAIN FOX (7) best of the rest. SUGGESTED PLAY: Keen on Obligated. |

RJC'S SUNDAY SESSION 18TH JANUARY Maiden Plate 1050m
Moochi Starlight and Wax On Wax Off can be prominent. MOOCHI STARLIGHT (2) is knocking on the door of a maiden victory with consecutive runner-up finishes and this is not an overly strong affair. Has placed two from three over this course and distance and gets the services of gun hoop Wiggins in the irons. Will prove tough to hold out. LADY WILLPOWER (10) may have suffered from the dreaded second-up syndrome last time out but the two runs prior to start the career were full of merit. Right in the mix. WAX ON WAX OFF (5) strips fitter second-up from the break and will find this easier than recent efforts. Ideally placed against this line-up. SHEMAKESMENERVOUS (11) has had a few chances but is usually thereabouts and is a must for the multiples. PENROD (4) next best in a race with only a handful of chances. SUGGESTED PLAY: Boxed Trifecta 2,10,5,11. |

AIRTECH REFRIGERATION AND AIR CONDITIONING Maiden Handicap 1300m
Expecting a solid pace with John's Road, Craiglea Oreo and Mariko leading the charge. FICTIVE (5) was okay when resuming from a lengthy spell and will have derived a stack of benefit from that hit-out. Has placed around this circuit and gets her chance to break through. MARIKO (1) just ran into one better at Mackay last time out and the extra furlong here will suit. Maps ideally from gate three and can play a major role in the outcome. Former NSW galloper MISS MOLLY ROCKET (4) wasn't too far away in the first run for the new stable and should find this easier than what she faced down south. Expect sharp improvement. HEROIC TALENT (10) placed around this circuit at the latest outing and is another to draw favourably. Top-three candidate. HEART 'N' POWER (12) rounds out the selections. SUGGESTED PLAY: Fictive each-way. |

K N CIVIL EARTHWORKS QTIS Three-Year-Old and Four-Year-Old Handicap 1100m
Strong early tempo with Moscow City and Tara I Am leading the way. I'M A CONDYGIRL (6) was super impressive winning here when resuming and will have come on with that run now under the belt. Should get a cosy run in transit from gate two and can go back-to-back to start the campaign. SARAQAEL (1) goes well for hoop Satherley who has three wins and two placings from seven rides. Rock-hard fit now fourth-up and should be right there at the business end. AMERICAN CONQUEST (2) shed the maiden tag at Toowoomba at the latest effort and winning rider Zechner sticks. Right in this contest. NEXT LEGACY (5) has a win and a placing from three attempts over this course and distance and is yet to put in a poor one in eight career starts. Has to be included. INNOVADER (7) is a last-start winner who shouldn't be slept on. SUGGESTED PLAY: Siding with I'm A Condygirl. |

NORTH TULLAMORE PASTORAL COMPANY Class 3 Handicap 1600m
Southaven, Skilful Artist and Jay Bee Ell can settle forward in a race lacking a designated leader. Former Victorian SKILFUL ARTIST (5) had been right there in both starts since joining the new stable before getting a confidence-building victory over this track and trip last time out. Winning rider McIver sticks in the stirrups and should be going very close again. JAY BEE ELL (6) saves his best form for his home circuit here with two wins and three placings from nine spins. Can feature prominently if he brings his A-game. GENERAL WOLFFE (1) grows a leg for hoop Fenlon who is yet to miss a drum in seven steers. Genuine top-three prospects. PEAKING TOM (4) doesn't win out of turn but is usually about the money and can earn another cheque. SOUTHAVEN (2) next in line with Wiggins on board from the low draw. SUGGESTED PLAY: Leaning towards Skilful Artist. |

WADE HUNT IT Class 4 Handicap 1200m
Prince Of Sooview is expected to lead at a strong tempo. RED BEAUTY (6) has hit a purple patch this campaign with two wins and three placings from just five starts. Hard to knock mares in form and she can certainly keep the ball rolling against this lot. Former Victorian PRESOCRATICS (5) was a dominant winner here in the first run for the new stable and winning hoop Taylor retains the ride. Can go back-to-back without surprising. DARLING CLEMENTINE (8) is a very consistent commodity who doesn't know how to run a bad race. Strong top-three contender on recent form. OUR TURN NOW (2) strips fitter third-up from the break and can feature with any luck from the sticky draw. SUGGESTED PLAY: Boxed Trifecta 6,5,8,2. |

REGIONAL INSURANCE BROKERS BENCHMARK 55 Handicap 1200m
King Of The Vibe should lead but there are a few other speedy types who can keep him honest. They'll go like the clappers in this. HOLY CROWN (13) is an honest type who has hit the top-four at her past five starts and will be rock-hard fit for this. Drawn to get all the favours from the inside alley and can get that well-deserved victory. ALL TOO LUCKY (4) is a winner over this six-furlong journey, gets 3kg off with the claim and maps ideally from gate three. Ticks a few boxes. BRAZEN SAILOR (9) will find this easier than recent Sunny Coast outings and gets the services of Wiggins in the saddle. Capable of sharp improvement. VICTORY'S GHOST (6) is a two-time winner around this circuit who could run a big race while fresh. Former NSW galloper SAINT CAYETANO (7) is having his first run for the new barn but looked to have some ability breaking the maiden status at Port Macquarie before the spell. Might be one at odds. SUGGESTED PLAY: Boxed Trifecta 13,4,9,6. |

THOMOS BETTA HOME LIVING BENCHMARK 62 Handicap 1400m
Keen speed battle, with Presszora, Royal Gladiator and Soften It Up prominent. It's hard to knock the form of the well-related PRESSZORA (4) (half to G2 winner Amor Victorious) who has won five of six starts to date and is racing with a lot of confidence. Drawn to sit up on speed from the inside marble and should give backers a big sight. ROYAL GLADIATOR (8) got the job done over this distance range at the Sunny Coast last time out and winning rider Collis stays on top. Big chance once again. EL FORTRESS (9) has a handy record here on his home circuit with a win and two seconds from just four spins. Top-three aspirations. SMASHING ROSIE (11) gets in well at the weights with the 3kg claim and looks a must for the exotics players. BOOM BOOM RAY (5) also hails from a handy family (half to G2 winner Doull) and can feature with any luck from the carpark draw. SUGGESTED PLAY: With Presszora. |
